Mine is definitly the Amazing Adventures of Spiderman at IOA. The ride is spectacular & totally unique. Il take it over any coaster any day
05-05-2001, 12:59 AM
Millennium Force is #1 by far.

05-05-2001, 05:19 PM
My favorite ride ever is Riddler Revenge.
05-06-2001, 01:47 AM
Ghostrider... Ride it and you will see the light....
05-06-2001, 02:08 AM
MF although I have not yet tried Nitro...
05-06-2001, 03:45 AM
NITRO all the way. this coaster blew away, i didnt expect that much air and relentless speed from a gracefull B&M.
05-06-2001, 03:59 AM
My favorite ride would be Alpengeist
05-06-2001, 08:53 AM
Nitro, definately. If u haven't gotten to ride it yet make the trip to the park, it's worth it
05-06-2001, 09:19 AM
The IDORA WILDCAT. Anyone who has ridden it wil have to agree. Not just the coaster, but the atmosphere, sights, sounds, smells, and the feeling that any moment this thing could jump the tracks!
The Hulk for me!
<BR>It might change this year though!
05-06-2001, 10:51 AM
Hulk by a million miles
05-06-2001, 10:53 AM
Millennium Force, hands down. Nitro comes pretty close, but I think MF is better.
05-06-2001, 11:43 AM
Nitro is the best ride. For the first time I got to ride in the front seat. I was in line for 1hr30min for the front car. It's worth waiting. I really think you guys shuold go to Six Flags Great Adventure and ride Nitro.
05-06-2001, 12:31 PM
i agree with nitro2001, no coaster could ever, EVER compare to the amazing adventures of spiderman
05-06-2001, 12:50 PM
THE B E A S T. YOU DONT KNOW WHAT UR TALKING ABOUT IF YOU DONT SAY BEAST. 7,400 FEET , 64 MPH COMPLETELY IN THE WOODS. TAKES UP 35 ACRES. BUILT IN 1979. STILL NUMBER 1 IN THE WOOD DEPARTMENT. IF YOU DIDNT SAY BEAST YOU MUST NOT OF EVER RIDDEN IT.
<BR><!-- BBCode Start --><I>First off, we don't attack other peoples' opinions, and second, we never use all caps. It makes your posts harder to read. Thanks. EJ</I><!-- BBCode End -->

Superman: Ride of Steel at 6 Flags New England. This ride has NO brakes, a 70+ degree first drop, lots of good turns and airtime, and a good finish (something you don't see too much on hypercoasters).
<BR>I went on Nitro a few weeks ago and didn't find it as great as everyone says it is. The first few hills are good, but the brakes COMPLETELY ruin the last few hills, which have the potential for great airtime but deliver almost none.
<BR>As for Spiderman, I can't see how anyone could like a simulator-type attraction more that a roller coaster. (But then, I've never been on that ride...<IMG SRC="/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif">)<BR><BR><font size=-1>[ This Message was edited by: Tycoon on 2001-05-06 12:03 ]</font>

peters007 while i have not had the chance to ride the beast i have to say nitro is the best for so many reasons the speed, the openess of the cars, the way it keeps the speed through out the whole ride and has you go up the lift hill they are signs that tell how high you are these are the reasons nitro is my fav
05-15-2001, 04:13 PM
Tycoon I agree with you 100%, Superman: Ride of Steel @ Six Flags New England is the best ride in the world!
05-15-2001, 04:48 PM
I haven't been on too many coasters so I can only say Golliath.
<BR>Pillage, then burn.
<BR>Read Psalm 84<BR><BR><font size=-1>[ This Message was edited by: rockman89 on 2001-05-29 12:51 ]</font>

this room will probably be closed down from being too common. anyway, the best is the Coney Island Cyclone, the "ultimate coaster"
05-15-2001, 05:18 PM
ONLY GO TO SAY ONE BOLD NAME........

Okay, please do not post in all Caps Peters007 and SIX FLAGSXEASTCOAST.
<BR>Peters007: Okay, you like the beast. However this topic is asking for people's opinions, and everyone is entitled to their own. You can't demand others to like what you like.
05-15-2001, 07:13 PM
I have to go with the Beast as well, nothing tops it anywhere.
05-15-2001, 10:53 PM
Definitaly the Beast.
05-15-2001, 10:55 PM
Superman: Ride of Steel at SFNE. Best roller coaster (and ride) out there!!
05-15-2001, 11:17 PM
Man this is so tough:
<BR>Wooden: The Beast
<BR>Steel: You guys will be amazed, but The Raptor
<BR>Non-Coaster/Dark Ride: Spiderman
<BR>So...my ALL-TIME favorite is....Spidey. Nothing comes close in my book.
Right now Titan at SFoT ranks as my number one. No ride has ever thrilled me quite that much!
05-16-2001, 07:23 AM
Nitro, is my favorite. Excellent ride and plenty of airtime. Awesome ride.
05-16-2001, 01:56 PM
its usually the last coaster i rode, the last coaster i rode was the hulk. when the last coaster i rode was the millennium force, then that is my favorite until i ride the hulk again. pretty strange, huh?
05-16-2001, 03:53 PM
Spiderman at IOA is awesome. Millenium Force took my breath away (literally and figuratively). Its a toss up!
05-17-2001, 03:44 PM
Haven't gotten to ride Nitro, MF, or Spidey yet, so I can't say about them.. but my fav to ride is the Power Tower Turbo Drop at CP... While I ride the coasters for all of the fun sensations they give, there's nothing (for me) better than that first 2-3 seconds of sheer terror as your seat drops, and your shoulders are the only thing connecting you to this big ball called Earth... Of course, being scared of heights also intensifies this feeling a few times. <IMG SRC="/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">
06-02-2001, 11:59 AM
I'd have to say Raging Bull, but I haven't been on Millennium Force or Nitro yet.
06-06-2001, 03:34 AM
Is Nitro that good?!! Does it really compare favorably to MF? I hope PKI is considering a B&M hyper after all!
<BR>(I'm one of the people that really, really thinks PKI needs a B&M)
06-06-2001, 01:20 PM
For me its Zeus or Space mountain(Paris) Although The incredible Hulk is pretty good too
06-06-2001, 01:26 PM
MF is the best
06-06-2001, 02:48 PM
believe the hype, nitro is for real.the ride holds its speed thruout, has great air,and i really like the upward helix.to anyone who has ridden nitro right when it opened, it seems to be running alot faster now.as of now, it is my favorite, but next week, i am off to CP.so that may change.i must say, i am VERY eager to tackle MF.
06-06-2001, 03:33 PM
Don't buy the hype, you'll only be disappointed, I certainly was. After riding MF the previous year and S:RoS SFNE three days before Nitro I was not impressed with Nitro. Hype may have also hurt my impression of Boulder Dash. Sure Nitro is a top 5 coaster, but has more hype than airtime. Coney Island Cyclone has more vicious air, be careful what you put in your front pockets :0
<BR>S:Ros SFNE #1.
<BR>"That's just my opinion, I could be wrong."
06-06-2001, 04:00 PM
I got to agree with about The Beast being numero uno woody. As for steely, I favor Flight of Fear with the lapbars. I have not ridden Millie or Nitro. Superman at SFA is ok. Apollo's chariot is all right.
06-06-2001, 04:16 PM
06-28-2001, 09:52 PM
My all time favorite ride is The Legend at Holiday World, but I don't like comparing wood with steel so I will be polite and give S:ROS my vote for favorite steelie. Favorite darkride would be the new FoF coaster. Great without the OSTRs.
06-28-2001, 10:01 PM
06-28-2001, 10:24 PM
I am ashamed of you guys, you all talk about airtime and forgot about the definition....Shivering Timbers.
06-29-2001, 12:27 AM
definetly the windjammer by a far shot at knotts..to bad its standing but not operating now! sniff sniff
06-29-2001, 12:39 AM
Well, this would surprise many people:
<BR>The ORIGINAL Runaway Mine Train at SFOT! It was my first roller coaster when I was about four or five years old! I remember going through the Saloon on my first ride wondering how in the world we were supposed to fit through that window!! <IMG SRC="/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">
<BR>But, if you are talking thrills, then I would go with The Beast as well...nothing beats a woodie, and no woodie beats the Beast! (Although Texas Giant does come close)
06-29-2001, 02:30 AM
ghostrider is sweeeeeet....... the greatest assembly of wood ever
06-29-2001, 08:00 AM
Medusa East. It's not that fast, scary, or intense, but I just have the most fun when I'm on it. Even more than Nitro!
06-29-2001, 08:53 AM
Well my Fav all time coaster is Thunderation at Silver dollar City! Now if I were to classify as Wood and Steel it would be like this.
<BR>Wood - The Boss Sf.St.Louis
<BR>Steel - Wildfire Silver Dollar City
06-29-2001, 09:14 AM
MF! MF! MF! U cant beat that feeling as you justcrest that 310 foot lift hil.... <IMG SRC="/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif">
06-29-2001, 09:50 AM
The Bat, The best suspended ever & The Beast, my personal favorite.
06-29-2001, 09:57 AM
Definitely Millennium Force! Front, back or middle, still the best ride
