I was just wondering if you guyes like rides like "Phoenix" at BGT, "Looping Starship" at SFoG.... I think they are great thrills!

I've found them to be decent, what I think would REALLY kick butt would be a non-conterweighted looping boat. Maybe add 2 more tires, at each end at around the 45 degree mark?

That sounds intersting - people would like the ships to go faster and have more loops.

They are pretty good.(Actuall name is Huss Ranger). But they have been improved upon(Vekoma Air Jumper comes to mind) and aren't really big money makers anymore.

Actually, the Huss Ranger is a totally diffirent ride. The actual Ranger is pretty rare, with most operators going for the not-much-more-expensive but doubled capacity double ship 'Kamikaze' by Far Fabri.
Thing is, BGT's *is not* a Huss.
It's an Intamin Looping Starship model.

I never said Phoenix was a Ranger, I said a lot of looping starships are. I did, however, say that Phoenix was not a dual boat.

Well, by definition, a Looping Star in an Intamin, as that is their actual 'brand' name for it. The generic name is 'Inverting Ship'.

I like the Looping Starship rides. We have one at SFAW and it's one of my favorite rides. I really like the Super Loop rides. Those are cool

These rides are OK, but most of them only make one complete loop and its very slow. Anyone ever ride a "Kama Kazi" at a carnival? Those were better, they went five times as fast and made about 10 full loops, but they were banned because someone in Illinois fell out of one while it was upside down, and got struck by the same car as it was coming down...pretty gruesome

Im not exactly sure wich ride this is but im thinking the hammer type rides that hang you upside down till the blood rushes to your head. if its those i think there kinda stupid somtimes becuase they just make the blood rush to ur head to much! anyone ever rode the Nasa ship at SFGAdv it was fun but hurt my chest preety bad.

I used to like Jet Scream at PCW, but now I just skip it. With so much more innovative and MORE COMFORTABLE rides such as Mondials....my legs and other parts (for lack of a better word)aren't hurt at all
(submit to the painful leg restraints ughhhh!)

I don't like the looping ones.
The nonlooping ones are cool.Your stomach drops just like it does on a rollercoaster
