Since it has not been brought up yet, this is for the new Animal Kingdom coaster, Primeval Whirl. Alas, it's almost complete, but here's where the latest pics are: http://www.orlandorocks.com/info.asp?attraction=dinorama&location=ak&type=Overview&sub=Construction

i hate disney soo much for selling out and building low quality non themed rides. This is the manifestation of that as well as DCA.

I agree. SO what is this coaster? The name gives me the impression that it is a spinning Wild Mouse- but my instints tell me other wise. Is it just an ordinary wild mouse w/ a lot othe theming? It looks cool though.

It is a twin wild mouse. I believe one side spins and one side does not...

I think that's cool if one side spains and one doesn't, It allows for peple eho don't want to spin, Not to. I still think they should have duelaed them but it's disney and they probably spent most of teh time with theming, location, and the whole area in general.

Grand opening is set for April 22, but soft opening should occur mid-March.

that just looks so ugly. WDW should stay away from carnival style rides.

Thats the look they were going for. All of Dino-Rama is made to look like a tacky carnival.

A prehisstoric tacky carnival. I guess it's just my obsession but i think all coasters look good. I like the way this looks, It's much better then the half-behind job they did with Mullhulland maddness at DCA and it goes to show that Disney Actually CARES about AT enouhg to theme the dang ride. Ok, enough with my ranting, the irde looks good and I would love to have a spinning wild mouse near me.

Hey, everyone. If you are nearby, it was open for soft openings today, (the 19th) and yesterday, and from what I could gather, they are trying to keep it up and running as much as possible. I got three rides in today. Once of the track on the right, and twice on the left track. It's very fun. I've been on the same exact type in Virginia, but again, Disney added a little bit of fun with the theming. There are some very close calls with the various objects placed throughout the ride, including these asteriods above your head as you come up the double-up from the largest drop.

Overall, the ride is fun, and you'll smile the whole time, if not laugh. FASTPASS will be available at the attraction, but it isn't available during the soft openings. Maybe it will shortly though. They only had one side running at a time. Each time I walked past, one side was having work done to it, and the other side would be operating.

For those of you in the CF area, go over now and check it out while the lines are short. I waited less than 15 minutes each ride.
