The end of the third week in February, or around the last Sunday.

02-08-2002, 11:05 PM
yeah some competition from me too :). nice park butterfinger . ill be entering a park on sunday.anyways submission as stated in the sumbission thread ends the final sunday in friday. hopefully alot of people enter this contest.

02-09-2002, 07:47 AM
Well, I don't expect to win since there is no way in the world I will beat natelox's park. I am just aiming for a top 3 finish.

02-09-2002, 02:41 PM
have faith in yourself butterfinger.

02-14-2002, 07:26 PM
cool! A new entry.

02-14-2002, 08:03 PM
Yeah, I entered a new park. I'm not expecting too much, considering what I'm up against. Butterfinger, your park is really nice! Hopefully there will be more soon...

02-14-2002, 08:34 PM
Tycoon, I really like your park. So far, it's the best of the February entries, in my opinion.

02-14-2002, 11:33 PM
personally, i think butterfinger's first park was really good. But this park is lacking. To many trees, not as good themeing.

02-15-2002, 06:28 PM
This park is definatly one of my best parks, but I also agree that it doesent quite match my first entry, Mystical Islands. I currently am working on this HUGE park that is even better than all my other parks COMBINED. I did'nt have time to finish it and enter it into this contest, so I went for the next best thing: Rocky Mountain Resort.

I can already tell from the first two entrys that I am going to have some heavy competition. Your park is awesome Tycoon. ( I am already worried and Natelox and TXcoasterGuy havent even entered yet, this is going to be one tough contest!)

02-15-2002, 09:04 PM
can u post pics (in a new thread) i'm interested to see how its going (your new park)

02-15-2002, 11:45 PM
Maybe I will do that. But then again, I've never successfully posted a pic before. I guess I could give it a shot.

02-16-2002, 02:09 PM
IMO, its really easy to post pics. email me the pics and i'll post em if u can't.

02-16-2002, 07:14 PM
Posting Pics is'nt the problem. The problem is FINDING them. Where are the screenshots located on the computer after you take them?! I've searched everywhere!

I've started a thread about my park in the RCT general talk forum. The name of my park is Monte Vista.

02-16-2002, 09:51 PM
I think that Tycoons park was the best so far. Butterfingers park wasn't as good as his last one. The only real good themeing was on the ride entrances.

02-16-2002, 10:01 PM
Nobody seems to like my park to much. I thought it was pretty good. Aw well, cant do good in all contests. I just hope I can grab a top 3 finish.

02-17-2002, 03:23 AM
Butterfinger Have faith in your park anyting can happen.

02-17-2002, 04:18 PM
HELP! I can't download anyone's parks. an error comes up says can't download file error:(some number)

02-17-2002, 07:52 PM
Okay attention everyone, i have tried to post my park but winzip wont let me, sent it to sfmm dude for him to post it on my behalf and it still didnt work, sent it to andy and it still didnt work (but it worked when i emailed it to them in SV4 form). So if anyone would like the park just give me your email in this thread, i will email it as an sv4.

TRUST ME this park is worth it.

02-17-2002, 08:11 PM
I would like to have it. I think your parks are great and this one sounds even better than your last one (intresting story behind it). My E-Mail is vrroelfs@sitestar.net

02-17-2002, 09:23 PM
i would like to view your park TXCoasterGuy1

02-18-2002, 08:10 AM
Lemme take a look.

02-18-2002, 01:21 PM
I'll take a look at this park.

02-18-2002, 06:34 PM
Glad I'm not the only one having download problems...
I'd like to see your park, TXcoasterguy.

02-18-2002, 08:09 PM
Kapona Valley is very nicely done. Very good theming, and the coasters weren't too dominating. The elevated lake in the middle of the park looked a little out of place, but it's not that big a deal.

02-18-2002, 09:21 PM
Less than a week left and only 4 entries (correct me if I'm wrong)! I hope there will be more entries (even though the upload/download thing doesn't seem to be working)...

TXCoasterGuy, your park is pretty good. The theming is very nice and everything seems to be down to the last detail. In my opinion, the only problem is too few coasters. You could probably fit another one in without them being too dominating, and in my opinion, every park needs a woodie! They ARE very nice coasters, of course. It's still a very nice park! (looks like no gold or silver for me. :( Oh well. )

02-18-2002, 11:29 PM
Altamont will be there, 100% sure, Friday.

Andy Hodgson
02-19-2002, 08:09 AM
Just as a side note, if anyone else has anymore problems, they can PM me, and I will zip all of the contestent parks and e-mail it to them. If someone is having problems uploading, e-mail the park to me ASAP.

02-19-2002, 06:56 PM
I have a question for Andy that concerns all of the contest that will come, Can you post a recreation of a theme park that you hvae made into the contest.

Andy Hodgson
02-21-2002, 08:33 AM
Yes, yes you can, as long as it is your park.

02-21-2002, 09:29 PM
Andy says the following

"spread the word that I said for everyone to just re-post their parks, and that I will clear up the 'spam' posts later. And that we (Thrillnetwork) are sorry for the inconveinence"

(just incase u didn't catch the post in submissions)

02-22-2002, 06:30 PM
Just took a look at Alamont. It's one of the nicest parks I've seen. The theming was top notch, as usual, and the rides were great. There were also some really innovative ideas. Rating: 10/10. An incredible park.

02-22-2002, 06:35 PM
cool! glad you liked it.

02-22-2002, 10:56 PM
Great park, Natelox. Great rides, great scenery, great everything! In my opinion it's a lot better than my entry and the others for this month, too.

02-23-2002, 09:37 AM
Well, this is what I'm seeing:

1. Natelox- Altamont
2. TXCoasterGuy1- Kapona Valley
3. Butterfinger- Rocky Mountain Resort
4. Tycoon- Safari's Sam's Resort and Casino
5. Dark Luke- Mystic Land

02-23-2002, 04:39 PM
Kapona Valley was pretty good, had some cool new ideas, but everything was way out of porportion. Didn't really match the peep scale.

02-24-2002, 08:50 PM
Are the submissions going to end today?

02-25-2002, 05:06 PM
well i think all sumbissions ended yesturday (sunday)

02-26-2002, 07:54 PM
Is anyone else having trouble looking at the voting poll? When I click it this white page comes up saying "There is a slight problem in the database".

03-01-2002, 09:54 PM
Are people allowed to vote for themselves?

03-01-2002, 11:05 PM

03-04-2002, 03:08 PM
NOOO SO CLOSE!!!! well altamont was better i guess. now i have two TNPP mouse pads. whopeee. well good job to all who entered. next month i'll try again, at least i get the cool avatar.

maybe i'll beat natelox....some day. :D

03-04-2002, 04:11 PM
Well, I must say that I am very dissapointed with 4th place, especially after winning 1st place in the January contest. I agree that this entry was not as good as my Mystical Islands, but it was very rushed to get done.

I cant wait for the March contest to start! I just got done with the best park I have ever made in my life. It should do a whole lot better in the voting than RMR!

03-04-2002, 07:54 PM
Yeah! I won! Thank you everyone who voted for me(that includes staff)

also congradulations others on how u placed!

Butterfinger, i can't wait to see this new park of yours.

03-05-2002, 06:03 PM
I'm surprised that I did better than Butterfinger. His park this time was pretty good, and the next one sounds a lot better. Anyway, congratulations to everyone who entered. I thought all the February entries were very good! I'm hoping we'll see a lot more for March.

03-05-2002, 06:39 PM
You also did an awesome job on your park, Tycoon. The theming was very unique, and the coasters were very nice too. The only problem that I saw is your selection of trees. The trees you picked did'nt really go good together, but other than that it looks great.
