Visionland will be gone for good according to this article http://www.al.com/news/birminghamnews/index.ssf?/xml/story.ssf/html_standard.xsl?/base/news/1021108530261347.xml I'm upset with this because it looks like an ok park and I really wanted to ride rampage this year. Hopefully some of the rides will be saved.

I'm kicking myself for not going to VL last year..."I can always go next year." I have yet to ride a CCI masterpeice although I've driven by two. I'm still crossing my fingers that an anonymous donor may come by and open the park with their funds.

Rampage looks like a great ride. I hope another park can salvage it if Visonland is totally gone for good. They also have some S&S towers that other parks could use. Any other major rides?

Well, there should be some pretty new rides for sale.

Aw, that's too bad. I hate it when this happens, it almost makes me sick, when amusement parks go under I feel really bad and I feel like I almost wish I could do something! It stinks!

Hopefully someone will buy Rampage. It seems like such a waste to destroy a top 5 coaster. Maybe it will be salvaged like Pheonix was.

Seriously it is so lame. In 1999, Cedar Fair, L.P. was in talks with Visionland management to resume caring for the park, but what do you know, Visionland wouldn't agree with their terms and ended the talks. Now the park is going bye bye. (For now at least...)
