I know that most of the enclosed coasters in this country suck, but I'm still curious. Does anyone here have a favorite indoor roller coaster?

A lot of people including myself seem to refer to Space Mountain as their favorite. But I think that with the recent changes on FOF, that might change a little bit. I''ve never been on FOF, so I don't know for sure.

Well, the only enclosed coaster I've been on is Space Mountain at Disneyland in CA, so I guess that's my favorite.

FoF is now probably tied for best with disneyland paris space mountain and rockin roller coaster. FoF tied them with the lap bar

Flight Of Fear the theming is some of the best.

HELLO, PEOPLE!!!!

Best dark ride I've been on would actually be the Haunted Mansion at WDW. A real classic

UPDATE -
Of course, since the haunted mansion isn't a coaster... I'll have to go with Space Mountain.

Now that FoF at PKI has been 'upgraded' to no OTSR's it is the best.
Rockin Rollercoaster is mediocre, not to mention a blatant rip off of FOF. FOF is the best, and its even better with the lap bars instead of shoulder harnesses

Rock N' RollerCoaster at Disney Studios is a great indoor coaster! My favorite indoor, seeing as I haven't been on FOF with the lap bars yet.

Flight of fear with the new lap restraints is best..Space Mountain?..that is a laugh...it bored the daylights out of me!

How bout the exterminator?

Space mountain all the way. All other enclosed coasters are just a bunch of copies, IMHO.

Hmm...
for sentimental reasons SPACE MOUNTAIN at Walt Disney World...my first enclosed coaster ride in 1979.

EXTEMINATOR made me sick all day. ROCK 'N ROLLER COASTER is cool...

how about the beginning tunnels on both Santa Cruz Giant Dipper and Belmont Giant Dipper! They are pretty cool for en enclosed coaster.

After waiting in line for an hour, I finally got to ride the Rock N Roller Coaster.

While it was fun, I definitely feel the length of the ride is not worth the length of the line (unless you get fastpass).

But, seeing as the faster the coaster goes, the less the time will be, Space Mountain seems like a longer ride and is still plenty fun.

space mountain, but not before they rennovated it. rock n' rollercoaster could be good for an indoor but that launch!? after the hulk!? its like a swingset!

FOF-The best I've been on by far,now that it is without the horsecollars. Space Mountain was alright, Diaster Transport....well it had a short line!

I feel that FOF is going to be the best with the new lap bars. Before it was just too harsh.

[ This Message was edited by: MillenniumChicka on 2001-05-05 14:21 ]

Fave because it was my first: the Nightmare, which was at the now defunct Boblo Island. It still operates in Texas as the Mayan Mindbender. Not much on anything, but it was my introduction to scream machines.

Space Mountain or Disaster Transport! It has no track! We could of flew off! Pretty wicked.

Exterminator is my favorite but Disaster Transport is really good too.
My vote goes to Runaway Mountain at Six Flags Over Texas, followed by Space Mountain at Disneyland and Exterminator at Kennywood.

I would say Space Mountain at any of the Disney Parks, they all have some great themeing and all are great rides(I have ridden them all too,California,Florida and France) I especially like the one at DisneyLand Paris with the inversions etc.

WDW Space Mountain gets my vote, its an ok Jet-star in the dark, imagine what the ride would have been like had Schwarzkopf/Stengal been the contractors and had been allowed to "really go for it" in terms of track design.

Plus I love that early 70s mod style they used to for the building interior and the trains (the bomb pop ones, not the cheapo new ones), and the 2001 style exterior...oh yeah!

Have ridden FOF, but only with the horsecollars, so I can't say how good it is without them. If they'll get rid of that crummy outdated pre-show then it would be better.

I think that Fight of Fear is the best, but a close second is Exterminator, that just had some nice theming.

My favorite is Runaway Mountain at Six Flags Over Texas. It's fast, furious, and fun. I will be riding Flight of Fear at PKD when I go on my Washington, D.C./Virginia trip.
