^ That was my first ever post to a thread (last post). A lot has happened since then, most notably that Intamin have made themselves a lot less underrated.
Yes, I have the first intro from an admin or a staff member. I joined when it was still Thrillride! CoasterTalk forums, and remained a lowly member until roughly the end of July 2001, when I became the first CoasterChat moderator. A couple of months after that, I became a full moderator while still looking over CoasterChat. Then quietly in March of 2002, I became one of the co-administrators. Now I largely help with technical issues around the site as well as aid in decision-making. However, I try to remain active on TN as a member.
I got into the coaster game late, with Corkscrew at Michigan's Adventure when I was 15. Eventually, I managed to work at that park as well as Cedar Point during Halloweekends. For a full list of what I've worked on or what my favorites are, check my AIM profile, or at least my favorites are available to view at http://hierchy.burghcom.com (FYI: The site is largely neglected since I do a lot on TN, and there's nothing coaster-related except for any mention of them).
For the rest of me... I was born in 1979 in Flint, Michigan, but I generally call the Grand Rapids, MI area my hometown. I currently reside in Flint with my parents (for now, until I can get a job in IT), but most of my childhood (as well as a few of my adult) memories are from Grand Rapids. I went to Grand Valley State University and just graduated in December 2002 with a B.S. in Information Systems (hence the reason why I do a lot of technical stuff with TN... I've had a knack for systems administration, and I was previously an administrator at Burghcom, LLC (http://www.burghcom.com/) from 1997 until 2000 -- before they went into pure gaming and hosting for such stuff).
Also, if you feel you need to talk to me, my door (or my AOL IM) is always open, so feel free to contact me if you need to talk about anything.
