can't carge a door fee, scenarios are stupid.. it's buggy.. the trainers for it are buggy ... the new thrill rides have aweful ratings. Like the enterprise. I have been on this ride 10,000 times, it's not a puke like ride at all... but the ride sends the peeps out puking all over the place.
<BR>
<BR> Then, they offer 10 bucks back for the game at the official website.. but, only if you purchased it before a certain date bla bla bla. Off to throw this in the trash, I'll stick with my cork screw follies.
<BR>
<BR>Wish they just come out with a scenario editor.. now, that be fun.

It added new types of coasters, like the Air Powered Vertical and the Suspended Looper. Also, the pack added the four-across trains for an inverted coaster and the moneyless scenarios <IMG SRC="/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif"> . It could be better, but I don't exactly think the expansion pack is that bad.

i'd just like to ask, could you do any better?

I like loopy landscapes I think its all right. They are never going to be able to please everyone. Its impossible, its good enough.

Do you think that Chris Sawyer can control whether or not the trainers are buggy? I've had no problems with the game crashing or anything, I think it's trainers that can potentially cause problems--they have the ability to make the game more fun and free, but they come at a risk; Chris Sawyer does not design or even support trainers, so there is nobody to help you out if it messes up your computer.
<BR>
<BR>"The new thrill rides have awful ratings." Actually, the only new thrill ride was the enterprise, and while it does have bad ratings, ratings aren't everything in RCT. Guests will ride it, even though its ratings are surprisingly high in intensity and nausea. The new coasters all have good ratings except for the SLC, which can be a little nauseating.
<BR>
<BR>I actually like the fact that you can't charge a door fee. It means that the scenarios are much harder to complete. It presents more of a challenge. The scenarios in LL are much harder than they were in RCT and CF, and I like that. It's good to have to work to beat the game. I'm one of those people who feels guilty if they get something too easily.
<BR>
<BR>Overall, Loopy Landscapes was a good expansion pack, I think. The Air-Powered Vertical Coaster is great (although it could use more hill and turn types), the unlimited-money scenarios are fun, and the other scenarios are challenging.

I can control the entry fee.

The entry fee thing is stupid but other than that its fine. I dont care if it cost 30 bucks. I have played RCT for almost 2 years and I am still addicted. RCT2 will be awesome!

The no entry fee only applies to the LL scenarios. And there are a couple of awesome scenarios in there, where money doesn't mean anything anyways.
<BR>
<BR>The extra landscaping is great for building your own parks. I love some of what I can do now that I've got LL.
<BR>
<BR>Oh, and I've seen a bunch of people get sick on enterprises. Try riding it a few times in a row then see how you're doing. Also a lot of people don't have real strong stomachs, and I find even mine is getting weaker as time passes (which really kinda stinks)
<BR>
<BR>As for the trainers being buggy, yeah, but that's because in essence they're hacks, and with hacks you're going to get bugs. Besides, except for the occaisional lawn mowed you shouldn't need trainers. I almost never use them.

In my park that I'm designing from scratch, I am currently charging $39 gate entry plus $2-$2.50 for coasters, and $.80-$1.50 for other rides. I make about $1 profit on every food item, and $2 on most other stuff. I also charge 50 cents for the bathroom <IMG SRC="/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">. I am raking in the profit too (I have over 3000 guests in it and post a small monthly loss when I build a new coaster). They do go for these things <IMG SRC="/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">.

I find Loopy Landscapes rather enjoyable, and I like the trainer even better.

I agree that loopy landscapes is good. I just think Chris should have had it have a door fee and make it impossible to have a fee for rollercoasters since that's more realistic.

I lvoe loopy landscapes. It has new roller caosters, and a bunch of additions. I don't really like the scenarios, so I just use the old ones and cheat!!

You can build a successful park without charging an entry fee. I never, ever charge anything for entry. If a park has a fee when I start, I set it to zero and get all my money from the rides.
<BR>
<BR>Also, the fact that psykho posted like he did means that LL fulfilled it's aim of being challenging!

the entry fee thing makes it more challenging. i don't Chris Sawyer has any control over the trainers. LL is awesome!

LL is cool! Even though it doesn't have that much added on besides the scenarios, it's still a good game. I like how you can finally make an Invertigo without having to use a trainer. The Face/Off trains rule, too! I love the new trains on the inverted coaster. 4-across is so much more realistic than the 2 across. Now I can make true inverted B&M coasters! The TA2K is ok, just it lacks elements. That's basically it. It's a really good game, though. You shouldn't throw it away. If you don't like it, just use the things in corkscrew follies (which comes with LL). And I bet if you play the game longer, you'll learn to enjoy it. Build a hyper coaster with the steel corkscrew coaster. The trains are cool!

Hey Peeps!
<BR>
<BR>As If! Loopy Landscapes Rocks!
<BR>It might not have been as good as we all hoped but it is a worthy addition to any RCT'ers collection!
