Special Thanks to Atrace for doing this...

Using the attached template, you can create your own "Spaghetti coaster" using the following guidelines:

-2 train operation
-station, brakes, and launch may be outside the area, actual track must be inside the area.
-must be a launch
-max speed of launch 90mph
-must have one inversion

Submissions have to be in by October 31st.

How to participate:

1) Download the attached template
2) Make your creation within the above guidelines
3) Upload your creation into SpeedZone into the proper area (No limits)
4) Post the URL with the name of your creation in this thread.

Any deviation from the rules or participation will be disqualified.

Judges: Steven, Chip, Atrace

One thing to clarify, only one launch, but other transport segments are allowed in case you need to use them to get to the brakes at the end or to get to the launch.

Can supports go oustide the box?

Alex T

No, supports must stay inside the box.

I finished my entry and here's a link to it in coastersims. If you can't view it, I'l try posting it in speedzone in about 15 minutes, so hold on if you see this.

*A few notes
This track was modified slightly from when I originally sent it to Atrace because I'm stupid and forgot to save a backup of the original after I sent it to him. So for coastersims, I removed the box, made the launch more spread out so it didn't pull 4-5 G's, and straighted out the MCBR. Really sorry about that. Atrace said it fit in the required space and probably still has the original file, so sorry about the slightly improved version I'm posting. I just wanted to tell everyone that so then I wouldn't be accused of cheating.

OK, speedzone ain't working. So I'll attach it in a post. I'll delete the post should I get it to work later in the day.

Just a note... uploaded attractions into the forums or files linked from other sites will not be allowed. They MUST be uploaded into SpeedZone (with the exception of coasterkidmwm since he's apparently having problems).

One last little question, can some of the track after the launch be outside the dome as long as it just heads inside the dome?

Matt M

It has to head straight in I believe, download my entry, and see how I got it in, the way I got it in was legal. Good Luck, you'll probably win because I submitted so early.

I know how to do it the easy way but I would like to go in from the top and want to make sure its ok to have a little track dropping into the dome.

Put the template in your tracks folder. It's the same as a track file, but it only has supports.

Wait, do we HAVE TO run 2 trains or can we say run 5?

Matt M
10-24-2003, 04:36 PM
I asked atrace earlier about going above the template and he said no.

Alex T

For your case, since you want to launch in from the top ala hulk, it'll be accepted. Just don't let any other track go above the top. No, you don't have to run 2 trains, it's just a 2 train minimum.

Sorry about the misunderstanding cedar_point_lover. Good Luck!

Just to let you know, 5 days left before this Month's No Limits contest is over. We will be doing another contest for November.

I know this is a stupid question, but any clue when the results for this one will be in? And sorry if this is a repeat question, but is their a prize?

Alex T
10-26-2003, 09:27 PM
As far as results, hopefully they'll be up soon after the contest is over. I know I'll be doing my rating all at once, once the rides are in, so there won't be a delay from me. It just depends how busy Steven and Chip are and when they can rate the rides.

About the prize, I have no idea.

Matt M

Alright so it's me and Kraken. I'm guaranteed 2nd place! Woohoo!

Steven
11-03-2003, 08:35 PM
Well, Atrace and I had a discussion about it, and we both placed the following:

1st: coasterkidwm: Mr. Freeze
2nd: Kraken: BedBug
3rd: This could have been any one of you guys.

Anyway, if you want a special avatar, let me know.
