This is a forum to post On ride photos that you have. Please state what ride is in the photo and what you thought of it.

P.S. pleas don't post pictures that have vulgarity in them.(i think you can judge what is appropriate and what is not.) and sorry if there is already a thread like this. I did not find one.

Actually DEJAVU-RULES, POV and on-ride photos are different. POV is a point-of-view photo and an on-ride photo is well......a photo of you on the ride.

Anyway, nice site Johnny.

Oh yeah, what's your opinion on Cheetah @ Wild Adventures? I thought it was the most painful experience of my life.

Johnny Upsidedown

You most have ridden it this year. I usually dont like to say negitive things about coasters. I would say when cheetah was new it was one of the better small wooden coasters. It had just the right amount of ride forces. Last year at the ACE Wild Adventure event the coaster was very brutal. It seems the coaster tracking has worn in and the trains now do a lot of shuffling. Instead of giving a floating feeling into the turns it seems it slams pretty hard. Allthough some people like the more intense seems like the car will fly off the track kind of rides I prefer a more smooth ride on woodies. I wonder when they will start retrack work or if any has been done recently or if the cars have been rebuilt since last year. Since Wild Adventure is offering a season pass that is also good at the new Cypress Gardens Park in Florida might have to get a pass and make a trip.

Sometimes when you go to my site the first time it seems to not go through sometimes. Guess thats just the way it is. Thanks for the compliments SFOGFREAK its allways appriciated.

Wow! I counted 27 onride photos since a few you have more than one of the same name. And yet you still have more? That's crazy. I have a few. I got Millennium Force, Top Thrill Dragster, Raptor, Raging Bull, Superman:Ultimate Flight (SFGAm), Thunder Run, and Batman:Knight Flight.

I got an on-ride photo of American Eagle red with my brother. It was in 2000 though, so we both look a bit different now. I remember that when we were buying the picture, the front of the other train had a picture of a couple making out.

I don't have any on-ride photos. I look terrible in those pictures. LOL!

The only pictures I actually have from parks are the "old fashioned" photos that you can get and one from the past Aurora Sea World with me, my hubby, cousin and both girls on that big fake Shamu. But they are all like at least 10 years old.

The photos I've seen on this thread, all of you look so normal...me I look like a person who is about to die in those photos.

Those always make for the best pictures. When I went with my brother to Cedar Point, it was going to be his first time on coasters. At the end of the day, we went on Milllennium Force. He was scared on that ride like I couldn't imagine. He ended up buying the onride photo for it. In the picture, you can see him clenching the restraint tightly and practically freaking out. It was awesome. I'll see if I can maybe post it up here.

I don't have any on-ride photos because I don't buy them. I had some really funny ones of Tower of Terror in California Adventure. Some teenagers were celebrating their friends birthday, and they were going to buy the picture. So my friend grabbed his heart. And I was jumping out of the shadows as she screamed with her hands up. It was hilarious!

I also have a funny picture of me on X. Well I don't have it, but it was taken. I looked really stupid. I had long hair, so it was blowing back and it looked like I was dying.

I have a few onride pictures stored away somewhere. There was this one, that I didn't buy, from Loch Ness Monster at BGW. I was talking to my sister and I was turning forward when all of a sudded there was a flash. So when we got to the picture booth there was a hilarious picture of me. I couldn't stop laughing after seeing it.

Here are two more. The first is from last years Spring Break when I went to PKD, SFA, and BGW. I'm riding Apollo's Chariot in the front seat with my two step brothers and step dad. The second is from my SoCal trip in 2003. I'm in the front seat of Ghost Rider with my friend.

Here's a few more...

MForce (red shirt looking goofy) (again looking like I'm trying heal someone). lol

Flight of Fear (PKD I think... I've been on both and can't remember) That's me on the left. My friend looks terrified. I think this might have been our first ride and we had no idea what to expect. lol

Sorry they are a bit blurry, one was in a frame and the other a photo album and I just took a pic of them.

What's the most anyone has seen for prices on On-ride photos?

I was at Carowinds last year and got a really good photo on the log flume, but they wanted $13 for it!!!

Top Gun is half that price, I couldn't believe it! $13!

socalMAN123
02-08-2005, 09:45 AM
^I know seriously! At DCA, ToT pictures cost like $15! What a rip off! Personally, if I find a good on-ride photo of me (and it HAS to be cheap) I'll buy it.

ONe time my brother flicked off the camera on Apollo's Chariot, but the photo lady yelled at him, saying that we could get kicked out, but then my dad yelled back at her and told here she should be fired for yelling at guests.

I only have on on-ride phot from 2000 on American Eagle red side. My brother and I were in the front, it was a good picture. But it was 5 years ago, so I look a bit different now.

I wish I had a scanner, I have this one pic of me on ghostrider with the most boring face imaginable, hands up but with this face saying "god this is boring". Although Ghostrider is incredibly fun, I just did it for a memory in the album. I did the same thing on RR.

Well, I don't buy many, but in 2003 I made my first trip to CP. The wife and I took along a friend from here, and we met up with a friend I hadn't seen in about ten years, so we splurged a bit. This is my second ride on MF- as you can tell, I spotted the camera on the first trip and posed for this one. I'm in the Harley shirt (what a surprise!), the guy in the fantastic four shirt is the prodigal friend, and the other friend is behind me.

I have an On-Ride photo of me, my friend (RllrCoastrLover), and my mom on Wild Cat at Frontier City. It is the best On-Ride photo of us yet. My mom has one of when she went to Vegas and rode Speed, she was the only one on the ride and her hair is flying back and her face is all being pushed back from the launch. It is hilarious. I also have one of me on Texas Giant w/ my mom, one of me and my mom on The Beast, and one of my friend (RLLrCoastrLover) and me, and I think my mom is sitting in the seat behind us on The Beast.

Here I am on Mean Streak. That's me and my 83 year old grandmother in the back behind my mom and dad. I actually had to lift her into Wicked Twister later in the day because she was too short and didn't have the upper body strength to use her arms to lift her body off the ground into the seat. It took several tries and the whole station started to clap when I finally got her in the seat!

(btw, what's binary?)

Sir Willow
03-17-2006, 10:29 AM
^ That's where a site like Wikipedia is your friend. Or at least try a google search.

Binary is essentially how computers record and store all their information- it's a computer language at it's most basic level. Every space can only have 2 values, either "on" or "off", which is shown as a 0 or a 1. Those are then put together in strings to identify characters, graphics, and much more.

Now, getting back to the actual topic...

I try to get at least one onride photo at most of the parks I go to. I've got a good number of them. Just wish there was an easy way to scan them in. We've had some really nice family photos in some of them
