P.S. if your quote is from European Vacation, it is "Look Kids, Big Ben, Parliment." Not Big Bend. Just an FYI.

dang this really puts a kink in the possibility of others similar to this being built.

i'm not surprised, on tha water it does not look very safe, and plus its built by problem logged Vekoma. and once there is an accident, u have to worry about the animals attcking u.

Actually only 2 people were injured. They were released from the hospital the same day.

The reason the ride flipped is because they were top heavy, causing them to sway.
VEKOMA HAS A 100% PERFECT SAFTY RECORD!

The only part of the ride made by Vekoma is the river part, and the ride didn't flip over then.

It is completely IMPOSSIBLE to flip over the water segment - it's anchored on the track - no way that thing can flip on the river portion.

When I see the land rovers, they are top heavy and the tires are like 9 inches wide it looks - very thin!! So maybe that's why.

We aren't told the full story yet, but I'll definitely post when it's open again.

They were sent to University Community hospital just up the road. Not Tampa General. And this thread was already started in the Water Rides forum. the water part of the ride is the safest part.

It's impossible to fall off on the river section. The cars are locked onto roller coaster style track that moves along the river. It is controlled by a pole moving through a track at the bottom.

Magnum will always rule!

Uh, if i read the review correctly you FLOAT on rafts.. that would make it easier to tip than on land, since the water is making it sway!

You are not really "floating". The raft is locked onto a track to guide it and keep it from going the wrong way. Just like the coaster track keeps coasters connected, this does the same.
