La Ronde's new roller coaster Goliath's opening of the 13th of May has been refused by the Ville de Montreal and will thereby be canceled. It is now scheduled to open in July, when all inspections from the goverment have been concluded. More details to come!
Just recently we have recieved info that from 1 years time La ronde will rid itself of le monstre, l'orbite and goliath and hopes to replace it with great family rides along the likes of "monsieur l'arbre"
also the boomerang happens to be too heavy according to mr. jean charest, therefore it will have to remove the shoulder restraints. This might make the ride a better experience but it certainly will be dangerous.
It is believed that Goliath currently is higher then the restriction of 170 feet by the ville de montreal and may even be canceled altogether.
There is also talks of the monster and orbite being taken off because the goverment wishes to set a new restriction that is no higher then 100 feet.
