The WDW Villians Kingdom Rumor is now true. As Friend and cast member of WDW told me that they got infomation from Iger on the Cast Portal That the NEW Thrill Ride Park Made Up of Roller Coasters And Extreme Waterides will open in 2008.

Finished by 2008? Not happening. There would have already been some major evidence by now that a park like this was being built, and as far as I know I think Disney has done some land clearing (which could really be for anything) but thats it. I could be wrong but I highly doubt a park with several highly themed thrill rides can be built from scratch in 2 years. Realistically I see them starting construction on the park in 2008... That is if this is even true, which trust me, I hope it happens.

Uhhhh, yeah, right. I'll go with the construction starting in 2008......but even that is still a big rumor to swallow.

Al Weiss already said that there won't be a 5th park at WDW.... this is BS.

If it is indeed true then i agree with everyone that construction will start in 2008. The only way it would open in 08 would be if they just threw up rides and coasters with no themeing and i think we all know thats not going to happen.

Funny, I'm a cast member that works with the portal team and have not seen this. It's not happening. Sorry.

Umm yeah I am finding this hard to swwallow as well....you would think that if such a thing was to be confrimed people would have been talking about it for months before it was actually confirmed...and I haven't heard anyhting aobut this until now....and I know i am not slacking.

I think it's a wonderfull concept and i personally think Disney should look into something like this. I don't see it happenign anytime soon. Hopefully in my lifetime though.

This sounds like it would be a great idea, but rumors about it would have been all over the place by now.

I totally believe this

Bob Iger even said that there will most likely not be a 5th gate at WDW; but if there ever is, it won't be for a long, LONG time. There is still an under-performing (albeit, doing MUCH better now) DAK to worry about, not to mention the PI makeover.
I have heard rumors that the former 20K site will be home to a new E-Ticket at some point in the future. Of course, that's information from 2004, but from a credible source. Even if that does pan out, I won't be expecting to see anything there for a LONG time, if ever.

From what I've heard, it seems that Bob Iger has put a lot of focus on beefing up the existing parks, which I agree with, because DAK still feels lacking and Disney-MGM Studios needs to make up for the fact that its not an actual studio anymore.
I DO know that Disney-MGM Studios has 2 new attractions coming in the next few years. One will be a thrill ride and the other will be a family ride. And no, they are not dropping the partnership with MGM for the park anytime soon.
The Living Seas is being redone as "The Seas with Nemo and Friends" and will have a re-done ride portion.
And theres some new crap going to DAK also but no rides announced yet.
The person who started this thread still hasnt responded...hmm...
This guys is very reliable.
Hasn't posted any proof, hasn't posted again.
I so believe this.
They just dropped $100MM on Everest, I really don't think they'd want to drop about a Billion into a new park.
