View Full Version : Strange observation about the Deja Vu trains
05-06-2001, 02:05 AM
When SFOG had the cars on display over in the USA section, did anyone notice how the larger set of wheels gripping the rails was on the bottom? The little smaller ones were on the top! Maybe the park mounted those "showcase cars" wrong. Also, does anyone know if you will face riders such as in Face Off?

They aren't face off cars. The cars have staggered seating I'll try and draw it
The wheels on the cars are same size on both top and bottom. The one that was on display in the park was in the paking lot last week, and I got an upclose and personal view of it since they didn't put it any fenced area.
Too bad some people are just disrespectful and stupid and stuck 99x stickers all over it, but I guess SFOG had it coming leaving it in the open like that.

I don't think Deja Vu will have staggered seating it was just like that for the display. It seem weird they woulld go to the truble of staggaring them.

Dude...I saw it. The wheels were bigger on the bottom. I think coaster king is right... Why would they stagger it? But of course, why would they put a totally different train on display? We'll have to wait and see...
also...if you drew it from the top it would look like this:

THE TRAINS HAVE STAGGERED SEATING!!! If you don't believe me go to the back of the parking lot, they're sitting right there!

I think they stagered them on the display because it helps you see the back seats better. I've seen them do this before on displays. It's just for better views of the back seat.

Dude, the 6 cars are sitting in the parking lot fenced off. You can walk up within 3ft of them and they don't care. There are also 2 cars hooked together going through their pull through on the track. I've gone to the park the last three Sats. just to check out construction.
The seats are staggered and you'll see when it opens!

Hey I said I KNOW they are staggered! I just wish they would face each other like the Face Off!

He is right the wheels on the top are smaller than the wheels on the bottom. You can see for yourself in this pic:

It looks like the smaller wheels will be at the bottom once installed. If you notice, the small wheels have guards on them. This is because the small wheels will be closest to the passengers. I don't think they installed them wrong, I think it's just a simple case of gravity. The bigger wheels are heavier than the smaller ones, thus the whole pivoting assembly is upside down.
