That would be cool if he did it. But there wwould really be no motive because he already has more money then he would ever need and not need to capitalize on themeparks, therefore no motive to open one.

There was a rumor about 5 years ago that Donald Trump was going to build a theme park in Orlando with the tallest, largest, fastest, blah, blah, blah, but I never heard anything else about it.
<BR>
<BR>Probably because these days you're only the best for a year or two.

Mr. Mcmahon would ruin it and make it all show like the XFL with cheerleaders.

i take personal offense to that. not to get off topic, but the XFL has been one of very few mistakes by Vince. an amusement park would be wonderful for the business.

You know there are many people who are a lot richer than Vince Mcmahn, just to tell ya.

but Vinnie Mac is one of the few that is actually trying to use his money.

That would be stupid because Microsoft would monopolize the theme park industry just like he did the OEM software industry.

Bill Gates has some stuff in his house that he could add into theme or water parks and be successful. For example, his swimming pool has speakers that play music underwater that you can't hear when you are above water.

It would be cool if Bill Gates asked us to tell him what types of coasters to get, what company to buy them from, It would be great!

<BR>Yeah, that would really suck, then we wouldn't be able to coast at all except for that park.

Hulk Hogan is supposedly starting up his own wrestling federation in conjunction with Universal.Where they will have events televised from various Universal parks. PPvs and what not.

I would love to see Bill Gates have a theme park. The reason Vince McMahon would be a great person too is because he is a man with a plan. His plans rarely fail, too. (With the exception of XFL, but we all knew it wouldn't make)With Vince's craziness and Gates' money they could do some great stuff.

With just 10 billion dollars of Bill Gates' money, you could build 500 roller coasters at an average cost of $20 million. I say we make him do it. But get Vince outta here! The WWF isn't bad enough for you???
<BR>
<BR>"I know, let's build roller coasters that are actually fake! As in you don't actually ride them, but it looks like you ride them!!"
<BR>
<BR>Sorry Vince thats just not gonna make it.

Mcmahon's park would be motion simulators!

I'll have to admit that McMahon doesn't always make the best decisions, BUT he's smart and creative enough to know when to put in rides, take out rides, and HOW to advertise rides. The only problem with McMahon's park is he would really have to try to put some class in it.

I think if Mr. Gates built a theme park, it would be alot of technologically advanceded stuff, like Universal Florida. If he did get into the coaster market, I don't think it would be a good thing. Microsoft has a new video game system coming out, the X-Box, and I remember reading in a magazine that there was some speculation that he was going to buy all of the good video game manufacturers and have them produce games only for their system. I don't think this was true, but even so, could you imagine him buying Vekoma, B&M, Intamin, Arrow, ect. It would be horrible. (Although it's a bit far-fetched, so is the idea of him building a theme park <IMG SRC="/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif">)

i think bill gates should build a park. its not like you could possibly spend 50 + billion dollars anyway. if i were him id figure why the hell not...whats the worst that can happen, i might loose a few mill big deal....just chump change (that i would love)

<BR>You mean like X and Delayja Vu?
<BR>
<BR>Well I figured it up and MY perfect park would "only" cost $680,000,000.00!

If Microsoft built a theme park the same way they make software...
<BR>
<BR>1. Every ride would have to be re-built three times to make it work right.
<BR>2. Every ride would then have "Service Packs" applied to it to make it appear to work correctly.
<BR>3. None of the rides would work with anyone who uses a MAC, Linux, Netscape, or a Palm device.
<BR>4. We would have hackers breaking into the ride system computers causing downtimes
<BR>5. The park's name would change every 2 years to reflect the current marketing scheme... (Park '97, Park 2000, Park XP)
<BR>6. Rides would randomly shut down and eject the riders because they "Performed an illegal operation"
<BR>7. Protesters from the Linux community would block access to the park causing a "Denial of Service" attack
<BR>8. Every ticket would include a CD with 1 month of free trial MSN internet service
<BR>9. If you subscribe to a 3-year MSN contract, you get $400 off the price of a lifetime pass
<BR>
<BR>Oh how the list could go on....

OK, Bill Gates aughta buy like, 1500 acres for the park, and build like 20 roller coasters to start out with, and add 2 more every year. These are some of the coasters he should build:
<BR>
<BR>A 280' TA2K
<BR>A 335' giga coaster by Intamin
<BR>A 235' 4d
<BR>A 145' CCI woodie
<BR>A 115' GCI duling woodie
<BR>A 185' Duling flying dutchman by B&M
<BR>A 210', 8 inv. Stand up by B&M
<BR>A 195' B&M floorless
<BR>
<BR>these are just a few of my ideas, anyone else have any ideas?

Hmmmm... My guess would be that Gates could just clone someone else's park, Re-name it and fill it with bugs and you've got yourself a by-the-book microsoft product. But seriously I don't think I'd mind riding a Microsoft ride, but they wouldn't let me on, I'm always wearing Mac T-shirts.
