Yup, bummer about Rail Chase, not the park. RC was good fun. I've always thought they should've built a multi-looper over the pond next to the park.

yeah, a looper over the lake would be awsome

i never liked the rail chase, too jerky
the only ride i really enjoyed was ghost hunter, and the arcade games when they became free

I didnt mind the Railchase..it was after all Australia's only indoor rollercoaster. Its a pity it couldnt have been re-themed and moved to Luna Park,Sydney when it re-opens.
Any one knows who eventually bought this unique ride???

Cheers

that park would have still been open if they built it in USA

oh really?? why do u say that pray tell??
If truth be known Sega World was pretty crap and i think would have failed ANYWHERE .Low attendences because of poor attractions really mirrored Sega's plight with their console's fight against Sony's.
It had NOTHING to do with being in Australia.
It doesn't really surprise me, sega fails at everything.

Is this park anything like Saga World in London??? The one in London is best known for its indoor drop ride: Pepsi Drop.

dingo, although dreamcast may be an above average system, it's still a failure

A sega world here would be sucseesful because alot of times people go to parks that stink when they just opened and all that money from unhappy people would be put in for a great rollercoaster, people comeback to go on it, they comeback alittle more satisfied they use that money to buy another coaster and that gets even more people to come there to ride two new coasters.

Sega Dreamcast was only failed because everybody heard about PS2, everybody thought that it was going to be alot better then Dreamcast but in reality it isn't. The only thing that was different really was that PS2 had a DVD player. But PS2 was double the price! now dreamcast is 100 but i think they stopped making them. I think Dreamcast has better games. I have both systems too.

Mate i visited the park and believe me..it sucked big time!!!
It WOULD have failed in The US in its current format....like I said bad rides and no worthwile attractions means no BUSINESS.
Sega world Sydney was located in one of the best positions for a place like this..Darling Harbour which is right in the center of Sydney itself. Now Sydney is no backwater town so you cannot simply blame the location...just the place itself.
Hope i have cleared some discrepencies up!!
Cheers

I gotta say i liked R.C but the lines were
5 miles long. I only got on 2 rides and the
other one SUCKED. I hate being in controll,
that's why i like rollercoasters.
