We were in line for Drop Zone and then it droped and this on girl in one car had a few choice words to say about the ride("sh!t") and everyone in the line just stared at her. It was pretty funny.

Another time, in line for Alpengeist, this couple got bored and started to give us a free show.

Some kid in front of me is bragging about how he never pukes on rides. We get off the ride and we see him leaning over the side of the railining to Paradise Pier, pukeing his head off! What ride were we on? You know the Sun Wheel, that's the one!

At SFAW, I was walking down the queue for Batman, and this dude came sprinting from the exit. He tried to jump all of the line separators, and succeeded in doing that until the last one. That guy jumped over and forgot to swing his left leg over and landed it on his crotch!

Also, in the line for Superman: Krypton Coaster, this guy tried to jump off of the station and flip over the bars and land it. He fell smack on his back.

i was in line for nitro and the park had just opened. they were filming for a commercial so the queue wasnt open yet. The line was from the entrance of the queue to the movietown sign. then at 10:30, a ride op told everyone that nitro wasnt going to be open until 12:00 or 12:30. More than half of the line left. My friend went to go ask him about it and the ride op said he didnt actually know how long it would take. he just said that to shorten the line. It actually took like 10 min. I'm really glad I stayed in line.

In the line for Magnum, a flock of seagulls flew overhead, and they decided they had to go to the bathroom, so they went. About five or six people got poop on there head. Luckily I was on the station platform, so I couldn't have gotten hit. Those people were lucky enough to be let out of line to wash themselves, and be let back into line.

Millenium Force in June... got in line about 11am or so, as we were waiting, saw one of the guys who sold pop from a stand setting up... thought nothing of it.
That day was nasty hot and sunny, about 95 all day long.

Went back in line at about 7pm or so, it had started to cool down, but I look over, and the guy was still there! I asked him if he'd been out all day, he had. He didn't get a break all day. He showed me his calf, it was burnt so badly that the skin was almost purple... I felt bad for him.

 At physics day at SfGAm like some seven or eight years ago, I'm in line for the Eagle and I get into the train and it took forever before we were dispatched. Found out later that some student launched his stuffed animal off the top of the lift hill. Only reason I know this was because the kid was one of my classmates and he couldn't shut up about having to explain to Six Flags staff that it was "just an accident," yeah.....sure....right.....uh-huh.

You guys are lucky. Nothin cool happens to me while waitin. However one time on Grizzly at PGA we were waiting at the brake part before rolling forward to unload and out of the trees came a huge 1.5 inch long flying beetle and started buzzing the people directly behind me. The guy got pissed off and slapped the thing as hard as he could. It splattered all over his hand and the carcus landed in his friends lap. I was more nauseous(spelling?) than I've ever been on any coaster before.
Ain't nothin but the truth, I swear.

In line for Raptor they had the DJ playing music and the man in front of me was break dancing. He climbed up on the rails, boty danced with other girls...even humped the Pepsi machines! The DJ noticed him and made everybody cheer him on. It was the funniest thing I've ever witnessed.

I was standing in line for Goliath (SFMM) with a group of friends and there was this really annoying girl ahead of us. The line is decorated with short pal trees and she grabbed on to a branch of one. She began hanging from it while she sang this really annoying song and everyone was staring at her. Then the branch snapped and she fell. She landed on the railing right on her crotch! Everyone in line started laughing uncontollably. She wasn't very noisy after that!!! :D

When I was in line for Millennium Force, the DJ commented that the "geniuses who installed the neon MF logo on the DJ booth installed it backwards" and reminded everyone in line that there was NO SMOKING and if they continued to smoke he would repeatedly play "New Kids on the Block." Needless to say, the smoking stopped.

Okay, I remember this one time while lining up for Alpengeist, some dude farted really loudly (and it was nasty too), and there was a huge riot! Everyone started scrambling everywhere because the fart stenched SOOO bad. Oh yeah, and this one time Six Flags America while lining up for The Joker's Jinx, some dude threw a soda in the air and started a food fight. It was awesome!

Once I was waiting for a while to get on Mind Eraser at SF Darien Lake. Just before I could get on they decide to put a second train on the track so I had to wait another 20min. Once while in line for The Predator at SFDL it was held up cause some kid puked in the car. One guy was pretty angry and was making fun of the kid, "Look at him standing there lookin like a little jelly bean." The kid did look like a jelly bean though. The ride operators were about ready to kick the guy out of line(maybe they did I can't remember it was a few years ago.)

This isn't a roller coaster but just last week when I was at IOA, some little kid had to go to the bathroom really bad while he was in line for Dudley Dooright's Ripsaw Falls. The line was long and when we got to a part of the line that turns, the kids walked under the rails and peed in a bush. His mom grabbed him and kept him near her the rest of the time in line. She looked so shocked and humiliated!

Your not going to believe this but.

At Disneyland, I was sitting waiting for Fantasmic to beging and there was this foriegn family sitting just a little bit way from me and there little boy had to pee. So the mother had him wip it out right there and pee. Well unfornate for the people below them because the pee ran down towards the people in front of them. The people in front of them got up and started yelling at this people. They left, as the Disney Police showed up. I have no Idea what happen to them.

Nothing weird ever happens to me in line. One thing did happen on the ride. I got on Space Shot and the guy next to me put a quarter on his knee. When we got shot up he didn't grab it. On the way down he was sittin' there like "Oh man..." Then the quarter came down, grazed my head, and landed in the back of my seat. It was kinda funny.

we (me, my dad, and brother) are in line to ride Face-Off at KingsIsland. It was a really hott day, and the wait was 3 hours. All of the sudden, the lady infront of me colapsed because of heat exhaustion. Naturally, i helped her and everything. BUT, after waiting another 2 hours to get on, it's finally our turn. And we get on the train, and out the blue, that lady comes running up out of no-where (She had been in the hospital tent for the 2 hrs), and demands that either me or my brother get off because it was her turn, and we cut her in line. It took 2 PKI men to pull her off the train, and finally let us go!

One day waiting in line for Top Gun at PKI this kid got off, and when the next person went to sit down they noticed a big pile of crap sitting in the seat. So they had staff from the park come see it, then they went and got a hose, and some paper towels and the ops had to clean the seat, then they let the train go around empty a couple circuits to dry it off...luckily I didn't have to sit in that seat, but I did ride in the train a couple seats back.

Once in line for Kumba, they stopped the car halfway up the lift hill, and an employee went to the top of the lift hill carrying a towel. She then seemed to scoop up a large animal off the top of the track (I'm thinking a bird.) When I boarded the next train, the drop after the lift hill felt like we were going about 90 MPH lol. I think the bird greased up the track.

It's not really funny, but here goes. Once at Lake Compounce, my friend and I were in line for the second seat on Boulder Dash. Out of nowhere, a fairly short, man goes into the first seat. He must have not buckled the seat belt(I have no clue how he did this), but he almost flew out of the seats on every hill. My friend and I almost had to catch him because we were afraid he was going to fall out. Strange.

Back in September (Labor Day Sunday), every time we got in line for Millennium Force there was a temporary "breakdown" and it would be down for 10-20 min. All three times. The next day, the cable snapped and MF was down for an entire week. We were lucky.

Once while in line for Titan this guy had puked. He was on the first row of the second car. Puke was all over everyone behind him. When the train came back everyone started getting off except for the second car. The lap bars wouldn't open. Suddenly he started puking again. The mechanic and unlocked the lap bars. Everyone started clapping. I felt sorry for that whole car and especially that guy.

yesterday, i was at SFOG. I had waited about 45,min to an hour when batman was closed due to "inclimate weather." after awhile every1 started to leave, and we finally made it into the station. like always, they had that really annoying music on. after listening to it the whole time throught 2 times, the ride op asks if we want him to turn it off. every1 screams and claps. about an hour later, still in line, he turns it back on. every1 immediatly starts to boo. it takes him about 3 minutes to realize that we really want him to turn off the music. then it stopped raining, but they didn't open the ride. every1 was screaming at the ride ops. he tells us that he doesnt get to decide when to open the ride, but his supervisor does. so everyone was like, "well call ur stupid supervisor and ask him." finally his supervisor calls, and everyone hears the phone. we start cheering so loud. then they do two test runs and we get the first ride in the front. it was so much fun.

This happened in Aussie land at Dreamworld. Was in the que for the Gaint Drop by myself as my wife would not ride it and these three american models came into the que behide me and started to ask me questions about the ride. I told them about how high and all that stuff and they went on it with me. All of them were wearing only bikini tops as it was the middle of summer. They were still talking to me when the ride dropped and their tops all came off. It appears that down below the ride there was a group of Aussie males who caught the whole thing on video. I was cheered like a king when I got off and walked passed the group although my wife did not see the funny side of it.

Whoa, "sitting" in line for a rollercoaster? Tell me where this coaster is, it sounds like such a luxury. If anyone sat on a railing at Great Adventure, they'd get yelled at and when I worked @ CHILLER, we threatened to not launch the train, to get people off the air gates and railings.

This happened just today (3-31-02).

I was standing in line for Titan at SFOT when I noticed quite a few people wearing sunglasses and not taking them off before riding. Anyone who's ever been on Titan knows what a mistake that can be because of Titan's high speeds.

Anyway, I rode in the third car right side. As we were going over the airtime hill someone up front had their sunglasses fly off their face. I saw them comming and ducked just in the nick of time as they flew over my head narrowly missing me. The person sitting behind me ducked also. But this lady sitting in the next car back didn't see them comming in time to duck. The glasses clobbered her right in the face hard!

She cursed at the top of her lungs! Later, when the train finally came to a stop on the end brake run the lady yelled as loud as she could. "Did someone up front loose something! Your @#$%&* sunglasses hit me right in the face, you IDIOTS!! Your supposed to secure ALL loose articles!!"

Nobody responded to her. Apparently, whoever lost the glasses didn't want to face her wrath! LOL

Weird things dont usually happen while I'm waiting in line for a coaster. I can't think of any.

One thing, was at SFGAm on October 21 during Fright Fest, and I was in line for Batman with my friend and one kid had a HUGE stuffed animal in line with him! He even brought it on the ride but did not lose it.

This isnt weird, but it is cool, because it never happened to me before, this was the first time it happened to me. While waiting in line during fright fest for Iron Werewolf (They call it Werewolf instead of Wolf during fright fest, its awesome!!) and then they said the ride broke down. We waited a minute, and my friend said we should leave, but I told her lets wait 5 more mins. Well it wasnt fixed in 5 mins, but I didnt tell her that it was already 5 mins, and I waited another minute and I saw the restraints on the train in the station move and it was working a gain! We were very lucky. When we got on I told her we waited 6 mins, and she was like "You should do that again!" :D

I was in line for a ride called the Thunder Looper at Alton Towers; the train overshot the station, and the operators told us all to get out of the line and help push it back! Didn't make me feel great considering I was next on!!

Also, at Alton Towers, I was exiting Nemisis on one of the first days it opened, and there were all these photographers and cameramen filming...I look behind, and there was Princess Diana and her two sons (William and Harry); they had been on the same train and I hadn't even realised until afterwards!! Nothing interesting happened to me while waiting in line, but on GASM in Great Adventure, I was riding on the last car on the blue train. When the train was doing the first half of the bow tie or boomrang element, I had a wallet land on my head then on my crotch. Double ouch! Apparently, a guy in the lead car was wearing baggy pants and his wallet slid out. The guy was grateful to me for holding on to his wallet for the remainder of the ride. My friends thought it was so funny that I got assaulted by a wallet. The guy was nice enough to give me ten bucks for the "rescue" and my agony. The wallet hurt like hell!

Well, this may be just me, but I usually stand while in line for a coaster... :D

*I didn't mean that standing in line was the weirdest thing that ever happened to me. I was just jokingly pointing out that when you are in line for a roller coaster, you aren't sitting, you are standing.

This topic is of a pollish nature, so I'm moving it there. And don't post saying the weirdest thing you've done standing in line is stand in line or something of that nature. That's spam. Please post relevant posts. Tanks.

There is. Disneyland calls that Fastpass™. You scan your ticket, retrieve a card from the machine, telling you to come back at a certain time, you go ride something else, and come back and ride it without waiting. So it sort of "saves your place" in line while you go on something else. Clever ain't it? ;)

What's with Cedar Point and these birds? I know it's on a peninsula and there are gulls and what not, but having many cases of bird crapping on peoples heads and birds landing on people, that's WACK!

This isnt in the queue line, it was in the exit line

As I got off the Power Tower two 17 year old gurlz were telling each other how great that thought the ride was, but as I was walking behind them, they stopped in their tracks and started making out, which caused everyone in my group to stop walking and watch.

In line for Wicked Twister there was this man in the que next to us who seemed to be about 40 or 50 years old when all of the sudden he looked at the ride, fell to his knees, and started praying. Then out of nowhere he just fell from his knees, layed on the ground, and started to have what seemed to be a seicure for like 30 seconds. Then a park employee came over and he got up and sat by one of the benches outside the ride. It was one of the scariest things I have ever seen!
Well, this wasn't in line but at WDW one of the characters (maybe it was eeyore) stumbled and almost fell. It was so funny. My family and I laughed about it the entire day!

When I was at Kennywood yesterday I was in line for Phantom's Revenge and I was in the part where it snakes around, for some reason they had usstopped before the long walk to the station, so some people were far back and some were in the station, anyways, since we were all grouped together someone had one a black 8 ball, beach ball type of thing! He threw it in the air and everyone hit it around for about 15 minutes while we waited, I was mad except when this one guy kept hitting it over the fence by "accident" and this one girl kept getting it and when she left to jump the fence and get it, everyone cheered, most fun that I have ever had in a line!

Edit: also on the ride someone lost thier gum and we were going so fast that it hit me and bounced off! EEEEEEWWWWWWWWW!

Also one time at CP i was in line for Wicked twister and this kid was on it and he was screming so loud everyone started to get a headach when i was in line for MF,M XL-200,Mantis,and Raptor i heard the same screams i would think he wouldn't get on anymore coasters after WT.

The weirdest thing for me was when I was in line for TTD and the ride had been shut down because of wind. People started to get really bored from not moving or being able to watch the trains, so this group in the front of the line started the wave. It made it all the way to the back to the line and came back. We did that a few times before management came over and gave us free front of the line passes and told us to get out of the line because it wasn't going to open.

While in line for Goliath, my friend tripped and bumped into the person in front of him (my friend was in front of me), and that person fell over onto the person in front of him, and a domino effect went from where we were standing(right behind the giant "Goliath" letters), all the way through the switchbacks, all the way to the stairs that lead up to the station, where the domino effect stopped(boy, what a long sentence). Our other friend actually caught the whole thing on tape(he likes to take cam-corders to amusement parks) from the exit path! When we got home, we watched the video, it started off with him recording what the line looks like from the exit path, and zoomed in on us. My friend tripped, the guy in front of him fell down, and the camera zoomed out to catch the whole hilarious thing. Funny, funny, true!:D

This isn't as weird as some of your stories but while in line for Raging Bull it starting raining pennies as the track passed over the line. Luckily they didn't hit anyone in the head. That would've hurt!

Until yesterday nothing outrageous ever happened while I was in line for a ride. I went to Cedar Point yesterday, and 2 things happened within 1 or 2 hours. In line for Raptor, right as we got into the station, these 2 girls decided to switch their shirts... and they were hot too... heh. I'm almost surprised they didn't get in trouble for it. I can't say I've ever seen that happen at an amusement park... immediately after Raptor I got in line for Mantis, and the craziest thing directly involving myself happened about halfway through the line. I'm thinking that the group of chicks standing behind me and my friend in line must have gotten bored, because they just suddenly started throwing themselves at us. And I litterally mean throwing, in the literal sense of the word... it was rather interesting. Unfourtunately most of them were rather ugly, except one of them was really hot... heh. Anyways, yes it was an interesting day. Go read about my day in the TR forum if you want to...

Anyways nothing weird really happens to me but when I was riding Superman at SFDL last summer, the ride attendant said it was three hundred feet tall, went 98 mph, and was the tallest coaster in the world. I rode it about 5 or 6 times that day and he had a different story each time.

Well, besides my previous post (using very bad typing skills, what the hell was I thinking???), the most outrageous think i've experience was this. I was waiting in line for GA Scorcher, and this group of 5 or 6 ghetto black people (yes I know it's a ghetto park) were on the midway and started screaming "****** you lady" at the top of their lungs to one of the ride ops. Then the guy who was like guarding the que (I don't know what to call him...) told them to wach their language, so one of them said something along the lines of "Hell no! You ain't no ******in cop yet!" So they wandered off and eventually the guard dude found a cop to go find them, but I doubt they got caught.

Oh this is funny, last year at CP while waiting in line for Magnum this bird kept flying over the que trying to peck at people's heads, it was really funny seeing everyone duck and swear and try to hit the bird. And speaking of this whats up with the birds at CP anyway, i see birds doing this alot when i'am there but this was the first time they attacked a line.

I think that they should have entertainers in line that get the crowd involved in group activities such as the wave, singing, dancing, etc. Once in awhile there are some outgoing guests that start theses things but i think they need someone in charge with a bullhorn

This actually happened on a ride. At SFMM, we were on the Tidal Wave, and we all know of the incredibly slow lift. This idiot in front of us decides to smoke a cigarette. Now, the Cigarette didn't last an incredibly long time, like the lift, so he tosses it off the boat. Or so we all thought. A wind actually blew the smoldering cigarette into my friend's flaming red hair. So, as we wandered around the u-turn, we didn't notice that parts of his hair were smoking. Then, I noticed... "Your hair's on fire!" We looked, and he started brishing at his hair, and it looked like his hair really was on fire. We were caught off guard by the drop, and plummeted into the splash. The splash put out the cigarette, and knocked it off his cowlick. No harm done, but we reported the guy to one of the operators. We didn't see the guy after that. It was funny.:D

This happened to me recently...standing in line for superman, right by the pretzel loop, this train goes by and this cell phone lands right next to the cue. So I picked it up, and really wasnt sure what to do. I had the idea to call a number on it, get the persons name, and report it to lost and found. So I do that, find out his name, but then this kid about my age comes up and says, hey is that my cell phone? I say, depends...how much money do you have? I was just kidding but he reaches in his pocket and hands me like 40 bucks. I give the phone back to him, he shakes my hand, then leaves. Hell yah!

This didn't happen in a line but at disneyland's Rancho Del Zocalo Restaurante an elderly lady about 72 and a 30 year old lady in a cast and her daughter got in a fist fight. It was so hilarious. The Daughter helped out by pourring hot coffe on the old lady.

On a ride on the Orient Express, a couple guys let some cups of ice water go during the ride. After the restraints were released, a huge guy who looked much like an NFL player came up and started beating the guys who had the water, yelling "I told you mother ********** not to do that" and "you better respect my woman"(he was sitting by his gf or wife). He put one in a headlock and started punching him, and he knocked the other guy face first into the train and again onto a chain across the "chicken exit." When this guy stood up, the big guy said "you want some more?" and punched him again. The riders and the ride ops all kind of stood there dumbfounded. It was kind of funny, and frightening also.

I was at Canobie Lake Park, a quaint little place, and I was waiting in line for the Yankee Cannonball, a wooden coaster. I was next in line when the train was coming near the station when a squirrel jumped right in front of it and like a rag doll, was forced under the train as it's friends watched from a tree.

Ahhh, good times...

Go figure.

My personal favorite occured on the Magnum stairs leading up to the platform. The employee working the top turnstile stopped the line (platform was full). I was standing there, looking down, when i felt a drop of something hit my hand. Simultaneously, I heard a splashing sound immediately followed by some girl saying "eeewww....yuck!" I looked up to see that a girl was completely covered in bird crap and I mean bad. The bird really got her good---couldn't have lined up any better. She had it throughout her hair...dripping down both sides of her face...down both arms...and all over her shirt (front and back). I felt really bad for her. One of the employees got her something to clean up with, but it wasn't enough. From then on, I got a little nervous standing on those steps...
