Does anyone think or know anything about another ride at Six Flgs Great Adventure for the 2002 season besides that corney simulator? If so please give your thoughts or info.

[ This Message was edited by: Xtremer on 2001-07-17 18:08 ]

Its still early its hard to tell.. this could just be another addition just like a flat ride... only time will tell if Alcatraz will be the only new attraction.... if it is.. im going to debate whether or not to renew my season pass.

I really hope not I love that park and would love for them to get any coaster. Small of big will do. A V2 would be awsome. Although I love chiller it has had so many problems. What do you think the new simulater is going to be like? Siderman?

look xtremer you are so dumb starting a new topic about this it is way to early for them to release information about their 2002 attraction.

I think that GA will get a new coaster next year depending on the cost of Alcatraz. I believe Alcatraz will be an awesome ride becuase i have been to Alcatraz and thought it was a very spooky place. So if they use the name alcatraz, it would probably be bone chilling. I think that it will go where the batman stadium thing is.

I really would love to see a woodie at Great Adventure next year. Seriously though, we're pretty spoiled. Some other SF parks are seriously neglected. I think the chances of us getting a new coaster right after Nitro are slim, but I'll still be praying. Next year might be more reasonable.

accually no, remember we knew about Nitro before it was announced i even saw the track for it before the park closed!
Well, anyway, i am almost sure they are getting Impulse, 4d and flying

Sigh an Impulse.. it better be worth it... maybe they could add a flat spin or somethin to it lol... otherwise the ride itself sounds uninteresting

im feeling the 4d rumor is probable

A Stand-Up would b nice

07-25-2001, 01:01 AM
I wouldnt go for the Stand-Up in my opinion.. its not unique enough a ride for great adventure. It would perform similar elements as medusa. maybe a few different ones. except standing... i would think great adventure would go for something completely new, innovative, and different. Only things that sound like that is a 4d :)

If great adventure puts in a coaster it is going to be good and possibly a first of its kind. Look at Viper, Medusa, Chiller. They were all first of its kind. I think a 4D would be a possibility, or a wooden coaster with new elements. What about an Inverted Standup? There are many possibilities of first of its kind. I have a feeling that is what they are going to put in.

Hope they get a new coaster but ive heard that the should be getting a new wooden one but i hope they dont take down rolling thunder!!!!

Inverted Stand-Up? i dont think thats possible... forces on your legs would be to much

This is being closed for two reasons:

1. The flames that are cropping up throughout

2. Because the same type of things are already being discussed here. (http://www.coasterforum.com/boards/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5805)
