could you imagine how much money that would cost? they could probably get 3 or 4 normal ones instead of 2 dueling hypers.

Yes, but It would rule. How about dueling Inverted racing Hypers! That would rule.

okay, a dueling hyper would be okay, but its cost would be gigantic. heres an idea, a dueling flyer! that would be much cheaper than a flyer and would offer better duels

dueling flyer would be better than Dueling Dragons if they had near collisions with each other like DD have.

i would love it as long as they were deuling and not racing.

Couldnt the chiller be considered a deuling hyper?

Hyper coasters are complete circuit, so no, the chiller is not dueling hyper coasters.

A hyper coaster is a coaster that goes 200 feet and more, there are no rules that it has to be a complete curcuit.
well anyway a dueling hyper with a lift hill would stink, Like Lightning racer and Gwazi, there are too much turns so there wouldn't be any good drops except mainly the first one.
Hyper racing. Great!

I think that it kind of defeats the purpose of a racer if it is hyper.

Its goin to be a while before anyone does that becuase a regular hypercoaster is usually a parks feature attraction and to shell out the money to get 2 is not worth it.

Medusa1861--A hyper coaster has to be complete circuit. Have you ever heard of Speed: The Ride or Mr. Freeze or B&R:TC being referred to as a hyper coaster? They are over 200 ft, but that is not the only requirement.

Coastergenius--how does a hyper coaster defeat the purpose of a racer? It'd be just like a really big racing coaster. In fact, that's what it would be.

Coasterman--A dueling flyer would be awesome if it's done like Dueling Dragons. Let's hope B&M comes out with one sometime soon, because we know Vekoma isn't going to.

A hypercoaster HAS to be a complete circuit. Mr. Freeze, B&R: the chiller, Speed: the Ride, and Superman: The Escape aren't hypers. I always thought of a hypercoaster being a roller coaster that exceeds 200 feet and has no inversions. Steel Phantom had inversions, but now the Phantom's Revenge does not. Roller Coaster Tycoon will not allow you to use hypercoaster trains on a inverting coaster.

[ This Message was edited by: murchison1 on 2001-05-28 12:09 ]

I must say a Dueling Hyper sounds exciting, but a dueling flyer with those near fly-bys sounds amazing.

A dueling hyper would be awesome, but that would be WAAAAAY too expensive! It would be even more expensive if it were dueling B&M's 'cause it would cost more than 75 million dollars! That would be awesome.

To me a Hyper has to only drop (the entire train, front and back) that exceeds 200'. It does not matter if it is not complete circut or has inversions.

RCT does not let certin trains go into inversions. Hypercoasters trians can not go upside down. It is the same with the steel twisters.

great idea, but Disney is probably the only ones who could pull it off. MAYBE, Universal, MAYBE. Now that would be cool, Wolverine versus Sabretooth hypers, or even better Spiderman-Venom!!!
They are not refered to as a hyper coaster buut there are no rules A hyper coaster is just a rollercoaster that goes over 200 feet, so they are hyper coasters or they are not coasters at all
