There were four planes involved they were all highjacked we dont know what country it was there were two american airlines and two idonno what is is called right now my school was closed early.... they need blood in the local hospital

This is truly a sad and shocking day. I was woken up to my mother telling me that America was under attack. Of course she was exaggerating a little, but it is still shocking. Anyone notice the date? 9/11...... 911. This is something I noticed right away. Also this dates coincide with some peace dealings between Israel and the Arab Nations 8 years ago. Also some of the latest news says that the plane that crashed near Pittsburg was most likely headed for the White House or Capitol buildings in DC. Also all airports in the US and Canada have been shut down and all airspace is now sanitized. President Bush is now on Air Force 1 going to an unknown destination after uttering words that will undoubtedly live on for many years, "Today freedom has been attacked by a faceless coward, and freedom will be defended". There are still 22 international flights in air, and they will be allowed to land in the US, but under extremely high securety. I live about 10 miles from Wright Patterson Air Force Base, and we had a specialized plane (can't remeber the name of it) that allows the President to basically conduct a war from the air take off at about 11 AM. There is still no way we can start any war because we do not know who attacked us, so as of know all we can do is pray and hope the perpatraters are brought to justice. I'm sure the FBI and CIA are in full force looking for clues as to exactly who did this. Let us all pray for our Nation and for the people who lost family and friends in New York and Washington, DC. It is truly a sad sad day.

Ok, before we all start jumping on the emotional bandwagon, here are the facts as they are now known, along with some supposition:

At least 3 planes were hijacked, possibly 4. 3 of those 4 were bound for Los Angeles, with the 4th on the way to San Francisco. One United plane and one American Airlines plane hit the towers- one each- causing their eventual collapse. At least 10,000 estimated dead there at this point, though that will probably go up.

The third plane hit the Pentagon- it did not miss, it hit it, causing more deaths and a fire that is continuing to burn uncontrolled. It did hit, however, the side furthest away from the top brass.

It is unknown what happened with the plane that went down near Pittsburgh at this point. Almost everything that I've heard is speculation, but the theory I've heard a few times now is that one was meant for Camp David, but missed by a long shot.

It is also unknown who is to blame. Bin Laden is an obvious possibility, but so far the Taliban/ Afghanistan are denying it, condemning it, and saying that he couldn't possibly have done it. Additionally, a small radical Palestinian branch claimed responsibility, but that was denied by others in the same group. There are however many Palestinians celebraing in the streets.

We'll just have to wait and see what other info comes out. Until then, wait on the blame gain.

The plane was coming from Boston, why would it go towards Pittsburgh, then turn around and goto DC?

The reports have it heading for the USX building in Pittsburgh. The largest building in the city.

No offense, but I really doubt that NYC is the city of God. This is absolutely horrible. I can't believe this is happening. Pray hard and pray long. Pray that this is an isolated event...

All right ill give you as much as I know. I am watching CNN and have been watching it for 5 hours.
4 planes crashed, all highjacked. 1 hit one of the Twins and 18 minutes later, another hit the other tower. Then another plane crashed into the Pentagon, and yes part of the Pentagon did collapse, and the Pentagon is still burning. Then another plane crashed in Pennsylvania. The two tower of the WTC collapsed, one after the other. As well as all this, a car bomb exploded near the state department building (in washington I think). That was 2 american airlines planes, 2 united airlines planes. Tens of thousands of people are estimated dead, and my prayers go out to the families who lost their loved ones in this attack.
And although this is of a much larger scale, this is what we in Israel have been experiencing for almost a year now. How dare the Palestinians dance and cheer? If it wasnt them, at least they should mourn, and not party.

I hope I never see something like this again in my life, but in the world of today, I may have to.

This is scary i was pretty close to it because if you go down the street my schoool is on you could see the smoke from it. the only channel i can get is 2. My dad is stuck in the city wonder when he could leave. I know about 30-40 people who's parents or people who they know died they got out of school early. well guess that rumoured coaster on top of it is out of the question ( i know the roumor was a long long time ago

I woke up hearing this on my clock radio. At first I thought I was having some sort of Tom Clancy induced dream (if any of you have read Debt of Honor you'll know what I'm talking about), but then as I woke up some more I realized that this did really happen.

A good place to gather facts about this is www.cnn.com. Please do not post speculations on who did it or any rumors you may have heard without checking up on the information. We don't need to cause anymore panic than there already is.

People suspect that palestines did it because the Isralians and the Jewish people were supposed to have some meeting and celebration there this week.I am scared because I hear loud airplanes flying over the houses by my neighborhood and no airplanes are not supposed to be airborne.I hope we don't go to war are anything. I wish they catch the people who did it they need the highest penalty.I hope they get the death penalty even though I don't really agree with it that much but in this case they deserve it.I am so mad cause I had to miss school today and I wanted a good attendence and I had to speak with my grade advisors because my science teacher want me in a advanced class and I don't think they will allow me to do it tomorrow.My heart goes out to the families who lost loved ones in this incident.

I live on Long ISland, if any of you guys know how close that is to NYC...everyone is shaken up here. It's total chaos.

The people who did it are dead. They died also when the planes crashed. Kamikazie. This was probably the result of some Middle Eastern country. WWII started just the same way on 12/7/41. Almost 60 years ago. But this is much worse. In WWII, Japan hit our Navy in Hawaii. Here, terrorists from Pakistan(probably) hijacted 4 planes. Killing everyone aboard those planes. 2 planes crashed into the 2 towers of the World Trade Center, formerlly the tallest building in NYC I believe. Those buildings are nothing now. Another plane crashed into the Pentagon, where many military decisions are made, etc. The last plane crashed near Pittsburg, pressumed to be heading to Camp David, the President's first retreat base. The plane that hit the Pentagon was apparently circling the White House, but then flew away when they saw antiaircraft gunners on the roof. Bush is now at a base in NE. Who knows how many people have died. Bush said they won't get away with this. Sounds like war to me.

I woke up at 9:30 and on my way to the bathroom down the hall in my dorm, I was told that the World Trade Center was hit by a plane. It was only upon finishing my shower and returning to my room to watch CNN that I learned the vast magnitude of this attack. I went to class and we talked about the events and were released early.

The scene at the College is horrifying. All of us are gathered around TVs throughout campus just watching in horror as the media recounts the horror of the day. Even now, I am in a state of disbelief. I saw some students in the College Center crying and embracing echother. I know people who had parents flying on planes today, and people who had loved ones working in the World Trade Center. One friend said that his brother works in the WTC and randomly decided to visit his uncle a few doors down. Had he not done this, he would have been in the building when the plane crashed. This has touched my college community and I believe everyone in the community very personally.

I am most disgusted by the Palestinians' reactions to the attack. As I am typing this reflection, I was called by my friends to the room next door where we are watching TV to see the Palestinians dancing and celebrating in the streets in the midst of most horrible act of terrorism in the history of the United States. Their celebration while we mourn is most disturbing.

I wish all of you the very best as we battle these difficult times. My most heartfelt prayers are extended to the families of the victims in Washington, New York, and Pennsylvania. May God be with is in the upcoming weeks. And finally, God bless America.

I was watching it in school. OMG that was scary watching the building colapse. I have a friend who was in the world trade center bombing, so i can imagine the trauma he had to go through.

First off, I want to say that my prayers and thoughts go out to all who were affected by todays attacks. Second I hope that the US kills thoese bastards who crashed the planes today. I also just heard this story on the news: a nurse at St. Vincent hospital was talking to here husbian, through e-mail, who was stuck in the word trade tower, after talking for a while he stoped responding, she then ran outside the hospital and saw the building collaspe, he died in the collaspe. Sad story. Also George W Bush wants us to rally behind the US government to help catch these cowards.

Hey, does any one know if our Roman is ok? I know he workes at Escape.com in DOWNTOWN MANHATTEN! I would appreciate it if you checked in!

All the preparation in the world could not possibly prepared us for what happened today. Four Aircraft Hijacked? Unreal. Not only does it seem impossible, it seems improbable. Who ever did this had to be working at the associated airports. There's just no way to ensure that you could get four aircraft in one day. It's just impossible. Maybe one security checkpoint misses you, but 4? I'm an American, I'm proud, and I'm pissed off.

I heard one of the planes that is still missing is head for some Disease control place in Atlanta where every disease is kept. I also heard it is heading for a Camp David. Is any of this true? I live in Atlanta and i really hope they dont try to attack a place like Atlanta.

no thats not true. The govt has officaly said that all airplanes have been accounted for and are all on the ground. And there was only 4 hijacked air planes, which have all crashed.

This day is a very sad day for me, since I have had a loss in my family come to those bastards who attacked the building. Please, do what you can, and pray tonight (and every night).
