Letter from the Editor

As many of you may or may not know Roman, Robert and Myself do live in New York City and have all been affected by the attack. To us New York City is a small town home, although our main street is Broadway its still just main street USA. Each of us was not injured physically in the attack but we have all been devastated nontheless. It is hard to imagine looking out my window and not seeing the towers, those giants now being replaced by unyielding heap of wreckage.

Walking around the city is different now. There is a stillness in the city where once an electricity that was tangible and infectious. Everywhere you turn are reminders of how lucky we are that we have one thing that binds us together, our humanity. On every street corner, civic statues, lampposts and shop windows are hundreds of faces. Faces smiling at you. Faces belonging to loved ones. Friends, Brothers, Sisters, Mothers, Fathers, sons and daughters. Missing. Missing because of a political agenda cowardly hidden behind the veil of religion.

We at this time must recognize that religion played no role in these atrocities. We, as members of the human family, must remain tolerant of other peoples beliefs and not confuse religious beliefs with political ones.

It is my hope and expectation that members of this community will continue to reach out with understanding and sensitivity as each of us deals with this tragedy in our own way. Let us accept the challenge to learn from this…to stop the cycle of violence against one another and to work to develop the desire and capacity to live together peacefully and with respect.

ThrillNetwork.com pledges all proceeds will be donated to International Association of Fire Fighters 911 Relief Fund (http://www.iaff.org/). If you see an ad click on it. That’s the only way we will get the credit. Try to click on the non-PSA as those don’t pay for clicks. We will post the total at the end of the month. We know many of you don’t have much money but want to donate to the various causes. This is one way to do it.

Peace.

The worst thing to happen in our generation, has brought us all together, its sad but good to know a horrible act can bring people of all races, gender and ages together. Its amazing to go outside and see all shops have on their signs is "God Bless America". Its great to see peoples american pride in what they wear. This tragedy has tugged at all my emotions: Sadness, madness, happiness, lovingness, caring, etc. I hope america can keep this loving way we have forever.

Unhappy

It's nice to know that all our NYC members are alright. This tradgedy has united this country more then the Pearl Harbor incident. There is a whole spectrum of emotions that this horrific event has brought out. Disbelief, compassion towards the victims, hatred towards the terrorists, and thousands of others.

Personally, I'm pretty pissed of they didn't do this at night or something so not that many people had to die. I'm most upset about the firefighters that died. Those guys are ****ing hero's and their families are empty without the men in them. I dunno. My sentences don't make any sense. I'm not angry. I can't live life being angry. So those are my feelings.

Unfortunately, that is how terrorists make their point. While the damage would have been extensive had the buildings and planes been only minimally occupied, many of us would not have been so struck by the scope of the tragedy. There's no honor or glory or anything mildly construed as "good" in something like this, but they are trying to make a point, and this is a way to make people listen. Personally, I have to agree with the Toronto Sun headlines on this one... ("B*st*rds")

Yes, the people involved wanted to make their point extremely forcefully, and unfortunately they succeeded.

The cold, hard truth is that we probably will never get Bin Laden.

I think we can get Bin Laden. We've started to get several countries of the world on our side as well as several world organizations on our side (The European Union, The Organization of American States, etc...) and those that aid terrorists will soon feel the wrath of the United States of America, they shall feel the wrath of the People of the United States of America, they shall feel the wrath of the Anger of the People of the United States of America, they shall feel the wrath that is the Government of the People, By the People and For The People of the United States of America. To those going off to make sure this wrath is felt, I salute you, and I admire, respect and support you. Together, we must stand behind them, and support them, and even join them to make sure terrorism never again touches the soil that belongs to the United States of America, her allies, or any other country.
Together, we shall unite and exterminate this foe that dared to touch American soil only to hurt innocent people.
