I'm not scared of it simply because I live out near the middle of knowhere(sp?) and the chances of it coming out here are very, very slim.

Well, I suppose this is one way to cope with things - be so laid back about it as to be horizontal! Lol!

I think they are out of anthrax, but are just getting started, the Soviets had more than that, read about it in the next paragraph

Here's more of the story:
The United States probably didn't even research biological weapons back then (cold war), and the Soviets would have dumped them on us with the snap of a finger. Well when the Soviet Union dissolved, they took their weapons from their Mediterranean island and buried them within about 8 inches of the surface. Well, now there is a land bridge to that island from the mainland as a result of the Mediterranean shrinking (I do not know where the island is exactly) and people can walk to the island and start looking and find whatever was buried there. The island has more serious stuff too, like smallpox and stuff.

Note: This isn't made up, and you will be lucky to see this before the mods go and delete it.

Firstly, why would we delete it? I can't think of one reason to do so, so as far as I'm concerned it's staying! You're mostly right in what you say anyway.

Jut a couple of things I can add. One, I don't know for certain, but I'd be amazed if the USA WASN'T researching biological weapons during the cold war. The Russians may have "dumped them at the snap of a finger", but the Russians probably thought exactly the same about the USA.

Also, the island you refer to isn't in the Mediterranean, but in the Aral Sea. It's called Vozrozhdeniya - usually shorted to Voz, and is on the border of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Trains loaded with chemical and biological weapons would draw onto the island and just pour all this stuff into the ground. I don't know about any land bridge to the mainland, but it is possible, as the nearby Caspian Sea is receding due to water being used for crop irrigation, so the same may be true of the Aral Sea.

the united states was heavily researching biological weapons at the same time the soviets were. while the soviets did produce much more than we did, our stockpiles were massive at one point. and while some of the biological and chemical weapons were buried, they don't last long without extensive care in proper fascilities. besides, who cares about loose bio and chem weapons when the issue of loose fissile material from russia is FAR more serious?

Why not ? It's been reported that the terrorists have used internet porn sites & sports message boards to communicate messages to each other....what makes coasterforum any different ? Unlikely, but you never know...

I'm not at all scared of it because
1. there is a very small chance to get it
2. even if I did get it I could still be treated and have a chnce to live.
3. Even if I do get it and die I'm going to heavem ( I think)
4. It'll take some sckool days off.
