Anyone Seen Ground Zero in person?

Just wondering if anyone in here has seen ground zero in NYC in person. If so I am wondering what it looks, and feels like. What is they way you reacted to seeing it in person?

Yes. I have. I live about 1.5 miles away. It is true what they say. TV doesn’t really show the absolute devastation. It’s still burning and every night when the wind shifts, the smell is so strong that, we have to shut our windows and put on the AC to filter it out. It looks like what you’d expect but on a totally massive scale. When you see pictures on TV or in the papers of those cranes and other construction equipment take a good look at the drivers and you’ll get a sense of the scale.

My dad just got back from NYC on business. He took pics of the site. He said there are a lot of memorials around the area. Said it's still smoking.

Nope, I havn't been there, and if I did go to see it I would probably break down crying.

I do know someone who went to NYC a few weeks ago, and went to see it and she said the smell was just awful.

Aerial pix are really distressing. There is just a big gaping hole where the wtc used to be.
