| Tales from the WTC
The other night my dad got off from work and he was talkinmg about something he heard on the radio (Talk station) about the WTC and someone who was the son of a fireman who went there told the following.

Firemen not only had to worry about buildings fall but there was also bullets flying. It appears as there was some kind of Ammunition storage facility in one of the buildings.
Alot of rescue workers were killed not by the buildings falling but because of bodies falling on them. Some others who were killed by glass falling on them were cut in half
Rescue workers were told that if they heard a whistle blow then they should run when someone asked What direction they were told pick one run that way and hope and pray you ran far enough.
Just before the collapse you could hear the building breathe*(any rescue worker [Esp. firemen] knows what this is) as if it were alive
This one here is the worst one of them all. His dad seen a man holding a leg (just one leg and nothing else) and crying. His dad wanted to go try to comfort the man but because he was afriad he might say something to set the guy off he did not go talk to him. After five minutes he prayed about it and went to comfort the guy. What the guy with the leg told him was that the leg was all he had left of his best friend
That is really sad, especially the one about the leg.

I heard one about about a man on the 47th or so floor who helped this blind woman, a complete stranger, down the stairs after the first tower had been struck. The blind woman just barely survived, but the man was killed by the collapsing of the towers.

Thats sad. Its like something out of a movie. Usually you could say that things are really bad in a movie just because it's a movie and not real. But this is real and more of a disaster than most movies ever dreamed. Pearl Harbor or Air Force 1 were minor problems compared to the WTC. I guess that could be a reason that makes it so sad.
