WTC Website...weird

Using the Web Archive thing that stores past versions of websites, at http://www.archive.org , I searched for the Official website of the World Trade Center ( http://www.wtcny.com ), which you know went offline September 11, (and is now snatched up by some greedy search engine) and it found the stored version of the website as you would have normally seen it, with touring information, facts, skydeck information, and what not.

go here: http://web.archive.org/web/200008161...www.wtcny.com/ to view it. (it will take awhile)
Viewing it is weird, to say the least.

Yeah, 9/11 = 911. Many people think that they chose this date because of that.

It's disgusting that a search engine would buy the site like that. I thought it was going to be made a permanent memorial.

I saw Russel Simmons on Cribs and it was really weird seeing his house being so close to the WTC and knowing that its gone now.

Thats just not right. That like looking at a park map when you arrive at the park and find out it was just hit by a tornado and everything that is on that map no longer exists.

I think they saw Rush Hour 2 and when that lady went to the guy outside the American embassy right when it blows up and says, "Somebdy better call 911" They were so impressed a that that they wanted to do it, except using the dates. but seriously, that is just weird. I think they should have made the site a memorial.

I know that on the website it said "This site will be kept as a permanent memorial to the people who died", and now i see that a search engine owns it, who uses those search engines anyways? They should only be allowed one address instead of thousands scattered all over the web. The big search engines (altavista, lycos, etc) only have one thing. They dont get that nobody uses AltaVista over it anyday

There is another website that has a movable camera which you can move around and look from the top of the buildings or inside. THe people who operated the cam made the video on Sept. 9

Wierd...I noticed the 911 thing too. Also, did anyone get that email that had all things to do w/ like terrorists and stuff and how it was related to the date 9/11. LIke some1's name had 11 letters or something like that. The email was kind of creepy.

Actually your birthday will be remembered as a really sad day. My birthday will be remembered as the day the war started. The bombing started Sunday, October 7, 2001.

I just wanted to bring this back up again because it's something more interesting to look at as more time passes by.
