| | | This isn't a song but a poem I found on a 9-11 dedication site! It brought tears to my eyes!
By: Ashley Wagner
"I'm so happy Daddy," she said,
"It's my first time in flight.
Look over there Daddy," she said,
"The runway is in sight.
Look Daddy now we're flying!
It's so pretty down there.
But why's everyone crying?
Who are these strange men everywhere?
That man over there's not moving, Daddy,
And there's blood on his shirt.
Daddy, what is going on?
Are we going to get hurt?
That strange man has a knife,
but Daddy what's he saying?
I can not understand his words,
and why is that woman praying?
Are we still going to Disneyland?
I don't like flying anymore.
Daddy, why are you crying?
Why are we hiding on the floor?
Daddy there's a building there,
we're going to hit the side.
I wouldn't have left for Disneyland,
if I knew we would have died.
Now it's very quiet Daddy.
There's no more people crying.
Everything's so peaceful here,
and no one else is dying.
I'm no longer in any pain
and I'm not filled with fear.
Even though we're not with Mommy,
I think we'll be happier here ."

| | | I like the country song by Tim McGraw or Allen Jackson or somebody like that, its very good and it made me think of where I was and what I was doing and reminded me how I found out, and it made me think about life itself as well.

| | Anaconda, the song you're thinking of is by Alan Jackson -- Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning. It's on his album "Drive" which is coming out Tuesday, January 15th. I agree it's a very powerful and emotional song -- I always start to cry, just picturing the lyrics and all the images we all witnessed that day.
There's a thread about that song and its lyrics: http://www.coasterchat.com/boards/sh...threadid=14809

| | | I think the song "Free Fallin" by Tom Petty is a nice backdrop to video of the towers falling.

| | | WOW, I just noticed this, this is somewhat freaky, and you can add it to the list of 9/11 cooincidences:
This song was written by Bad Religion in 1993: "Skyscraper" by Bad Religion
come let us make bricks
and burn them hard,
we'll build a city with a tower for the world
and climb so we can reach
anything we may propose,
anything at all
build me up, tear me down
like a skyscraper,
build me up, then tear down
these joining walls
so they can't climb at all
I know why you tore it down that day,
you thought, if you got caught
we'd all go away,
like a spoiled little baby
who can't come out to play,
you had your revenge
Read through it carefully. Now, doesn't that sound exactly like 9/11?? I know Bad Religion can't predict the future and its just a cooincidence (and this song is not one of Bad Religion's good songs), but you've got to admit thats a strange cooincidence.
The first half sounds as if its describibg America and its reason for building the towers - as a symbol of America's power. Also ("A tower for the world")
The second half sounds disturbingly similar to Bin Laden and his intentions.

| | | "I get knocked down" song. But remix it to a better beat and it would be a good song.
