The WTC was finally revealed to much criticism. It is portraying, of course, that famous photo with the 3 firemen (all white) raising the flag amongst the wreckage. The controversy is that the design team has proposed a model in which one firefighter is white, one is black, and one is hispanic, in an attempt at political correctness. People don't like the fact that history is being rewritten here. To me, I think that race doesn't matter in this situation. It doesn't matter what race you are, the nation as a whole lost something, and it is better to portray the real thing that just going for dumb political correctness.

I think the towers should be rebuilt exactly how they were with a memorial in front of the towers. But I do agree that they should have who ever was in the photos and not change their color to be politically correct.

Antfarm, that is a great idea! I think the memorial of the firefighters is meant to be a Fireman's Memorial. It will be placed at fire headquarters.

The actually WTC memorial has not been decided on.
