It has just recently been anounced that the 4th plane that crashed outside of Pittsburg on 9-11 was headed for the White House. One of the Top Al-QuiadaGenerals was captured and admitted to it.

On September 11, my geometry teacher showed us the path that the fourth plane was on before it went down. It definatley looked as if it was headed for Washington. If it had hit, the President would have been spared, he was on vacation, I think, but a lot of other people would have died, plus it woulud have destroyed another national symbol.

If it would have hit. There are supposedly anti-arcraft defenses ontop of the White House.

I heard that the plane that hit the Pentagon was originally headed for the White House, but when they saw the anti-aircraft weapons on the roof they headed for plan b, which was the Pentagon.

I honestly doubt they'd have tried to hit the White House -- it's a tiny target, situated between hills and trees and all, and a very poor target to try to aim for. I think the greater possibility would have been the Capitol Building, seeing as that's where Congress is. As for the top generals giving leads, I'm not particularly sure I'd trust them.

yeah iagree. the white is a very small target for such a large weapon. the capitol building would have been the "better" target to hit. good point melissa

From what I've heard through the news (God knows how reliable the information can be sometimes!) the plane that crashed into the Pentagon was origionally headed for The White House. It had to turn around to hit the Pentagon on the side it did. I guess once the hijackers missed The White House (Too hard of a target as Melissa suggested) they turned and hit The Pentagon.

Out of all the planning it took, I highly doubt that if they missed the White House the first time, that they would just hit another building. If they missed, they would have turned around and tryed again. If they had some sort of objective, I don't think they would just change it so vastly.
