Ok, so I know at least one person reads this blog, but just doesn't have the decency to comment and would rather take it to the boards. Then you have another person mentioning on another site that, "Oh Noes TN allows blogging," which I assume is supposed to be bad, negative thing?

If blogging were to be so bad, they wouldn't have brought it back. Second, what's the difference if I post what I post here or on MySpace (or Facebook or whatever w-blog people post on)?

I think a lot of people take blogging as the gospel of what the certain user posts. I see it as a way to express my feelings in general. Is that all bad? If you've known me for any amount of time, you know I don't leave anything under the sleeves, I call a spade a spade.

You don't like my blogs, don't be hypocritical and tell me to post on a website where people will flame you for spending money in a Cedar Fair park. You don't like my blogs, don't read them. But don't reference to them either, not even in the vaguest way on some other site.

For the tldr version...

If you don't like me, don't read this, don't reference this.

So you know that site I mentioned in my last entry. All they are doing is whining about losing Geauga Lake and flaming the CP fanboy hat keeps re-registering. Rather interesting that in their TOS they don't condone flaming...but I guess it's ok as long as the person flamed is a supporter of Cedar Point. The admin there is a joke, pulling crap that we would never pull here. If he truly wanted to get rid of the rogue poster, IP ban the kid. You've seen that here where some members can't take the hint they were banned, sign up multiple new names and we have to IP ban them. Not something we like doing, but it happens, and the admin over at that site should do exactly that...if he has the balls.

I'm just like my brother-in-law, and for those that have really talked to me, you know I don't leave anything on the table, I tell you like it is. Everyone got on me when I suggested Big Dipper turn into matchsticks or toothpicks. Eventually, that IS what's going to happen.

Geauga Lake closed, get over it and on with your life

So I've been up all night, which is what working a 3rd shift schedule will do to you. And I was doing some surfing and reading and came across a Geauga Lake website. The site itself was rather nice, but then you got to the forums. After viewing their forums, I don't know if I'd ever want to join a pathetic group of people like that. So Cedar Fair closed Geauga Lake...big whoop. Attendance figures have been quoted as dropping significantly when the park changed ownership from Six Flags to Cedar Fair. That was your problem there...NO ONE WAS GOING. You can't make money without people being there.

One gripe mentioned in their forums was what happened on Raging Wolf Bobs last year with the derailment. In their minds, CF did nothing to try and fix the coaster. I don't know that for a fact...but if you have something derail, be it a coaster or a freight train and track gets damaged, its not something you can fix overnight. Look at WildCat at Cedar Point...that coaster broke down a week before Memorial Day and it is still down, all the cars are off the track. Apparently Cedar Point is going through, looking for a specific cause.

Now this brings me to the real reason I posted this. The GL site I mentioned above has decent forums, but some members are downright ass hats. Yes, this includes the admin at that site who's vendetta seems to be that since CF closed down GL, that CP should be perfect in everything it does. Newsflash moron, every park is going to have problems, be it daily, monthly or whatever. When I dislike things like say the Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James, I don't go out of my way every time someone makes a positive comment about LBJ or the team to find a negative...but yet this admin does. Just reading his posts and his hatred that I don't think is justified, should make people think about joining that site.

And then this nonsense of boycotting Cedar Fair...what a joke. You people are totally clueless.
