Now for this equation, we shall examine an added feature to the Thermal Energy Equation, the internal heat source, which is emitted thermal energy radiated from the object itself. So here is my analysis on this blog attached below.

By the way, I forgot to mention that you all will be tested on all the material covered on all three of the blogs, so I suggest you all takes notes on everything and follow with me!

The Thermal Energy Equation in 2D (by Jimmy B)

Posted 06-15-2008 at 05:28 AM by Jimmy B
We shall expand on the topic discussed in my first blog and upgrade our Thermal Energy Equation to two dimensions. As you would intuitively expect (even if you know nothing about the topic), our mathematical analysis get more complex than what you saw in the first blog with the extra dimension.

So let's get to it, shall we? Here is my analysis for this case attached to this blog.

The Thermal Energy Conduction/Distribution Equation (informally called "Heat Equation") is the simplest partial differential equation (PDE) in analytical mathematics and a fundamental equation in thermodynamics.

In our analysis, attached to this blog, we simplify the system to where the internal thermal energy generation is disregarded and particularly analyze how this type of energy is distributed along a single-dimensional rectangular steel rod. This is the simplest...
