What to blog about?

Posted 05-03-2008 at 10:54 PM by Steven

I do like to write at times, and it usually has to do with whatever is on my mind.

I maintain a blog on MySpace, and I have a "Ramblings" section on my personal site (http://darkside.thrillnetwork.net/) along with its own blog. I haven't updated anything on the Darkside lately, though. In either case, I say what's on my mind, and I really don't care if people agree with me, because on those sites, I am right, they are wrong, and they can live with it.

On this site... while some have taken the reserved stance in terms of talking about things on this site by not sharing their opinion on things, others, including myself, have done otherwise. I am very opinionated, and I can't help it, and neither can anyone else for that matter.

Some of you have witnessed it at times on these forums. In many cases, I am able to back up what I say. You can either take it, or leave it. I don't abuse my position by banning someone I'm arguing with about a topic. People argue. If you start disrespecting me... I may ban you (after all, it is against the TOS to do so, and in most cases, I'll ask a moderator to review it and ban). Beyond that... I've had threads closed on me, some of them by everyone's favorite moderator to hate... Andrew Polcyn (side note: he's got it coming for all those times he closed a thread I started or had heavy participation in ).

Anyway, getting to what I want to say. With these blogs. I want to make sure that people know that myself, nor anyone else for that matter, is going to moderate your blog. You are in charge of it. Your blog is part of your profile, and the policy has always been that unless it is a blatant violation (such as spam, threatening others, anything illegal, etc.), you can do what you wish with your profile, and therefore your blog.

We won't be the Nazi forum police on your blog, and if you are bad with spelling and grammar... we may complain, but really, it's yours to do with.

Oh, you may also notice the customizations on your profile. They should all be unlocked, though I'm disappointed that I can't add backgrounds unless they're in my photo album (that I can't change... yet ). If you have problems, let me know, and I'll see if I can fix them.
