Yay the first topic! Anyway i saw them clearing land and stuff at SFA and i have heard numerous thing such as: New Coaster, Coaster Moved From another park, Python is being put back up, ect. So what are they getting?

Despite many rumors, I do not think that we can determine what it will be at this point.

The thing I would definitely like to see is a B&M Standup. But they have Python lying around Viper supposedly coming from SFOG. Because Maryland has a gay law that prohibits building two coasters in one year, they should do it like this.

2002- Build Viper somewhere.

2003- Rebuild Python with its loop interlocking with the loop on Viiper. (Python used to do the same thing with another Arrow Launched Loop)

2004- B&M Standup

I really don't see why they don't put Python back up. It's small and fits in a very small area. They should just stick it somewhere and open it.

oh wait, i did anyways it would be the only creative way to make 2 somewhat boring coasters (no offense cuz I loved Python the one year i rode it) when we should be getting something new and amazing. i know there's the stupid limitations thing where they can only build 1 coaster per year, but I think the park should....redeem a year if you will and save next year so that they can build both viper and python in 2003.....all they'd have to do to please everybody next year without getting a new coaster would be to put lapbars on Joker's Jinx (already happening) and tear down Tower of Doom to be replaced by an acrophobia (i wish).

This is a rummor, and should be moved there. Anyways, maybe Viper is moving to SFA?

I'm sure if there is nowhere SF can find to put it, they'll just throw it behind SFA like they did with many other coasters/rides, in all of its pieces.

On e plan I remember them talking about was taking python and enclosing it in a building, so the ride take place in total darkness. Maybe that's what they're doing. Maybe they'll do that with viper now instead...one of the Six Flags parks in Europe (don't remember which) has an enclosed shuttle loop just like it.

I was just at SFA on 10/27 for Fright Fest, once again speaking to a park security gaurd while waiting to ride Batwing I asked him if there will be any new rides for 2002.He said yes that they are trying to build TWO new coaster between Batwing and Superman, and as you walk from SROS to Batwing you'll notice consturction of a new pathway between the two rides. He said that the rides will possibly be a Impulse coaster and a Stand-up. Hopefully all this is true, I mean after all he does work there, and on top of this there will be some major landscaping and theming for the new year.

umm...speedfreak...are you just poorly attempting to get my hopes up by reading my previous posts......that's what i thought would be perfect, but i know they can't build 2 new coasters unless they tear one down. hehehe....i love seeing what the newbies to these forums make up

This may sound really ignorant, but no construction of a rollercoaster has begun, so why is this in new construction for american coasters? as far as we truly know, this could simply be a new path to tie the park together....everything else is still rumors... about coasters that is.

Well...RagingBULL,you sound BITTER. Number one I don't have time to sit on internet sites and make up stuff, number two I don't lie. I was only giving info from what was told to me and who would know better on whats going on in the park than someone who works there(And I'm not talking about the simple mined kids who work there when school is not in session). If you have any news then bring it,otherwise keep your smart comments off line.

I guess you are thinking of Turbine at SFBelgium. The loop was enclosed (not the whole ride) in 1999 due to noise problems.

My opinion on what Six Flags America is getting is I just think some flat rides. I hope and dream about a B&M of some sort but I think they are going to connect minderaser and batwing with paths, put some flat rides and some bathrooms along the path. But maybe B&M will stop by and just through a stand-up in hey it could happen and i hope it does

I heard that SFA getting Viper was all but confirmed. But I also heard that SFGAM would be getting it back. A stand-up would be cool, but I don't think that it will actually happen. I also don't think that park employees know anything about new rides, but I will not be able to speak for certain until I am one.

The waterpark will be much improved acording to a buddy of mine that is a lifegaurd there, that isnt big news, so i guess he could tell me. suposively they are getting some new slides. anything is better than what they have now...

I could only dream about a B&m And a Intimin impulse that would be sweet but i truly doubt it, maybe they could tear down Mind eraser that ride stinks.

WHY the ^$#@!$#@^#@^#@^$#@^$@#^$@ would they get Viper if we have python. And my inside sources told me that they would not build anything over in between that big emty space by supermans helixes but on the opposite side. SFA can get more than two coasters in a year they demonstraighted that in 1999. The rumors that I heard that could be true is A standup and putting Python underground but we will never know untill they tell us, right?

Now there is another thing we need to get strait, We were supposed to get a standup this year and PKD was getting the flying dutchman but when they saw the oppertunity to get hypersonic they took it and we took batwing. So what I think is we will get the B&M standup for 2002 and hopefully also get more flat rides and theming and if we are lucky they will put up python underground with lots of theming!!!

The only way that they got 2 coasters in one year was to take down Python.

Now remember, yes, we DID get 3 new coasters in 1999....but only because 1 was new and the other 2 were torn down!!!!!! you need to think about what you say before saying it; Python was replaced by Two-Face, the Cannonball was replaced by the Great Chase; therefore, they technically received only ONE non-replacer coaster; Joker's Jinx. Also, don't try misleading people with "inside sources" that aren't even real; they will definitely put some rides between Superman.
