Someone told me John Wardley, Walter Bolliger and Claude Mabillard will actually have ridden it by this time next week! Obviously I don't know if that's the way it's going to turn out, but it's all I've heard so far.

Air was tested today at 1.31pm, it ran brilliantly according to John Wardley.

I thought one of the B&M boys never rode his own creations? Did you know Ron Toomer never did either?

Talking

I always knew it would run well. All we need now are pictures or a video or something! Anyone got anything by trespassing?

B&M's always work right the first time. They are like butter. mmmm I can taste it already. I hope I have the chance to goto AT this year. Looking at the pics it seems that there is going to be plenty water effects that have you gasping for AIR. Heres a quote from Claude Mabillard talking to John Wardley about Nemesis' first test run. "It won't stall. Our coasters never stall. Our coasters always work first time." Now thats confidence. Only if Vekoma could say that. Wait I found a quote from them "Of course it will stall. Are coasters always stall. Thats not a bug but a feature. Our coasters never work the first time." lol

Well, That's only because Vekoma actually TAKES risks. B&M stick with the not very out of the ordinary, but still different.

I wanna see a video of it in action. When does the park open, better yet, when is the soft opening. The restraints should be intresting none the less.

Unreal RCFreak that you feel B&M don't take risks. Look at Batman the ride. I remember the first time I saw that I said "A coaster can't do that!". I was freaked out. I mean after riding the same old Arrow loopers and Vekoma boomers I was almost too afraid to ride it. I was blown away by the power and smoothness of the ride. True B&M may seem to not inovate but the truth is they work on a design till it works. Look at AIR, they have worked on the flying design for years. They blew us all away with the "easy to make" Oblivion. When Vekoma heard that B&M was making a prone coaster they came out with that turd known as Stealth. From day one it had major probs. From what I understand it still has probs. Don't even get me started on X-Flight or Batwing. Don't get me wrong, as much as I bash Vekoma they make fun rides. If Vekoma made better rides I think you would see more at Alton Towers. But once again the reality sets in and the ride (Corkscrew) is rumored to be on its way out. Look at the innovation B&M have made over the years: Four Across seating, Inverted Coaster, Floorless, Dive Machine, comfy seating on ALL the coasters, Speed Coaster, Standup, Twisted Sitdown, and the best looking track in the industry. I am a perfectionist and hope to one day work with B&M. Sure, I would work at Vekoma, but only to get the experience to work with B&M later down the road. No other coaster manufacture has brought so much to the table. Long live B&M with their worldclass caosters. Oh yeah, AIR is going to rock! You brits are lucky with the fact that you have the finest examples of B&M's in the world at one park. Now I am mad at you guys. Send me all your coasters now! Kidding aside I look forward to a trip to AT this summer.

Oh now you've gone and got me started. B&M does take some risks but not as much other companies. The inverted is from the Suspended by Arrow. Vekoma took seven years to make Stealth (that was before B&M started on theirs) The first four-accross was not B&M it was Intamin (probably B&M when they were there but still it belongs to Intamin). As I said before the Inverted is from the Suspended. The floorless is just the sit down without floors, not very original to me. Personaly I prefer Intamin track (it looks much better) over B&M's and don't think that it's all B&M, many of the so-called innovations were from other companies, B&M just took their idea and made it there own. I think Arrow surpasses ALL other coaster companies with innoavations. B&M has nothing on Arrow, and has a long way to go to even try to catch up. Don't get me wrong I love B&M's creations but people give them WAY to much credit, and I think they are overrated. This is my Opinoin you don't like it tough there is NOTHING you can do to change. (and by the way I have ridden B&M and absolutly love their coasters)

simple solution to this ongoing argument...

who cares who made what if the ride is good, ride it and talk about it, if you dont like it, dont talk about it... if you havent got anything nice to say dont say anything at all.

by the way this was no way in any means directed at the poster before this message, just to all those who think they need to bad mouth companies for no apparent reason

B&M make the best stand-ups, sit down loopers, and inverteds. Plus, their rides never open late due to technical problems.
But in recent years other companies seem to have taken more risks, been more inventive and executed more outrageous concepts. Also others are now as smooth as B&M. In other words B&M are great, no one can deny that, but they do not seemed to have pushed the envelope recently.
-Intamin's ultra steep hypercoasters with lap bars only
-Arrow's 4th dimension
-S&S Power's ridiculous acceleration and vertical drops with lapbars only
-Vekoma's tilt coaster and Deja Vu
These are all outrageous designs and respect to them for pushing the limits.
Of course at the end of the day it doesn't matter that B&M are abit conservative because of other companies are, thus creating a good complement. And let me say again, B&M are exceptional.
