| | | Other Cedar Point Construction Just wondering if anyone has any news / insights into the other construction going on at Cedar Point, not related to either Wicked Twister or the Vertigo investigation. Mainly, the change from the IMAX to the Snoopy ice show, and I heard the rumor that the Dodgem cars in front of the IMAX were going to be relocated to Michigan's Adventure, but no one has mentioned any of this. I wish the Cedar Point website would have updates on the other construction going on around the park, because I'm interested in all of it!

| | | You know, it would be cool if inbetween shows on the Snoopy on Ice if they let the guests rent ice skates and go skate for a while, I know I would. |

IOA has something like that, and THATS IN FLORIDA!!! Im sure with the colder weather would provide more than enough cold to keep the surface hard. And they could have machines to keep the ice cold in the winter. I would surely pay any cost to skate at CP.

| | That would be a lot of fun -- it reminds me of the waaaay back when there was a miniature golf course where Berenstein Bear Country (outdoors) used to be. I'd pay to skate there, no problem, so long as the fees weren't overly high. Something like $3 for the skate rental or something, stay as long as you like with it (if you leave and come back you pay another $3). Cool idea!

| | | Dodgem I is "officially" gone to Michigan's Adventure...as far as what is going in its place, nothing has been confirmed. The general opinion is that there will be a restaurant in its spot, but there is always a possiblity for a flat ride, or even something else in the coming years. |

| | | Which Dodgem is "I"? The one outside branching onto the Iron Dragon midway or the one back by Magnum and the Paddleboat Cruise?

| | | There are some new photos on the construction. It seems all the seats for the stadium of in place. The Ice rink is being filled with sand to be leveled out. Looks like progress is coming along just as well as WT

| | | the other day my newspaper had a big article on all the off-season work at cedar point. they're replacing the catwalks and railings on the gemini and it has a picture of it with magnum and vertigo in the background. you can see what's left of the one tower that fell down. i'll try to scan the picture and post it as soon as i can figure out how too.
I'm disappointed that one of the dodgems was removed, at least one of them will be left. |

| | | I can understand removing one of the Dodgems, since they are duplicates. Especially to remove the one by Magnum -- it was never even half as popular as the installation on the Iron Dragon / Wildcat midway. I never went on the one by Magnum anyway!
I wonder if we'll see new stores, food stands, that sort of thing this season. Those little internal improvements don't get a lot of press.

| | | What is Dodgem? Is it like a buper car or something? It does seem kinda stupid to have two of them in one park.
