What's This?!?!

On the website rcdb.com or as most of u know Roller Coaster Data Base, they report a new coaster for Six Flags Great Adventure. One problem. This coaster is titled Viper. If you go under New For 2002 and go to the third page. It shows Viper being new this year.

Can someone clear this up for me. Thunks

And if this is in the wrong section i wouldn't mind if u move it.

Didn't SFGAdv modify it or something? That could be the reason why, or maybe it's just some mistake. Try contacting rcdb and notifying them.

That's not really a mistake. The ride isn't new, it's just operating again. It was SBNO (Standing But Not Operating) last season. Now that it's open again, it says that it opened in 2002. That's just how the site's set up.

Why did SFGadv reopen Viper? I thought they were going to take it out and put in a B&M of some type? I heard it was one of the roughest rides in the world. Does anyone know if they mnodified it or what?

SFMM4Life -

No, the ride was not modified in any way. It is unknown to the public as to why the ride stood idle for so long, only to reopen again. Yes, it is infamous for its incredibly painful tracking and let's just hope SFNJ considers packing the bags for this thing in the near future...

They should put in a new premier launch that has a top hat that after getting to the top, the exit goes the opposite way it does now, so just kind of like a GIANT corkscrew, but in the shape of a top hat

Interesting...............Very Interesting..............

But I don't think they would do anything like that because they already have The Chiller, and that has a tophat. Not the same thing but close. It's like putting S:UE in the same park as WT. You just don't do it.

Nobody knows why they re-opened it. There is nothing modified, trains, track, nothing. I hope they take it down because it's too rough and painful.

it truely is a retarded ride. the thing is like 2000 feet long and togo designed it for 3 train op the third is always in the shed cause there is no point on opening up stack city. it does feel smoother this year though, maybe it just does cause that first time i rode it i was not prepared for the suckage craptacular ride it gives but i barely could breathe after that. This year it just beats my neck and makes me see stars.
