This is as low as Six Flags can get. It was bad enough that they cloned so many batmans but its even worse to give a park an old B:TR clone.

Hey, it's better than the Vekoma SLC they were going to get a year ago.

The ride is coming from a park in Japan (not sure which).

As for this being "low" for Six Flags to put this ride in, a park like Jazzland is lucky to still be in business, let alone getting a Beemer. I know it's everyone's favorite sport to bash Six Flags on these boards, but they are breathing new life into this park. And, so what if it's a clone....so what if it's a used clone...the park will open again next season with a new coaster. That's more than Visionland will probably do.

SF also breathed life back into Geauga lake (now SFWoA) but i think they did a much better job. I mean they gave SFWoA 3 new coasters and all jazzland gets is an old beemer. Its just not fair.

I was wondering if the parts were just sitting out there still, if a site was being prepared?

This is as good as it will get for JazzLand for a while probably. I don't see Six Flags doing much with this park anytime soon after this. It will likely become an Elitch Gardens for the south. I'd be surprised if after this, they build anything MAJOR for at least 3 or 4 years.

Six Flags will make some big investments in Jazzland, because they have to with the agreement they signed with the city that owns it. But at the same time, unless they own the park outright like they did in the case of SFWOA, they won;t put in any more money than they HAVE to. Why make a huge investment in a park you don't even own?

The reason that is is becuase Jazzland has no close competition. SFWoA has to compete with some of the best parks in the world. They had to put in those 4 coasters in 2000 to try to compete. Jazzland will be a much more progressive improvement. Look a good custom coaster for the park in '04 or '05.

Anyone have any updates on namtaB: The Mirror Clone?

Personally, I think the Batman: the Ride Layout is a great latout! It's small, compact and very intense. I can tell you that I would MUCH rather have a used B&M here at SFA than a Vekoma SLC "HeadBanger." I think Jazzland is really fortunate to be getting a B&M. In my opinion, a park really becomes major when it has a B&M. There's just something about a Beemer that is so impressive.

I agree Andrew W.

Any B&M can put a no-known park "on the map."

Actually, that post you made is as low and sad coaster enthusiasts can get. Not only is Six Flags Inc. reviving a "would-be-scrapped" or put-into-storage ride, but they are giving Jazzland a high-capacity, high thrill, very marketable attraction.

I mean, what does it take to make some of you shut your traps? Would you have been more happy if Six Flags were to put in a brand new Vekoma SLC instead of a used B&M?

Last time I checked, the parts were still just sitting there on the ground. Groundbreaking hasn't even started-if it's even going to start at all.

Batman the Ride... Lucky them they get a real nice ride to open their new era, Six Flags New Orleans. It was already broken it in Japan, so what. BTR @ GADV was my first looper yrs ago and @ this years Fright Fest gave me a chill at night. This supposed mirror image will break a lil of the clone monotiny. Since it's new to them I wonder if they 'll get an on ride photo cam. That 3 inversion coaster to come will probably be old Joker's Revenge. I wonder if it will run forward. Only time will tell.
