Yeah, I can't say I didn't start to give in to the rumors a while go, but its still disappointing. I was hopin' for something good. But I guess we can't complain too much since we got GL two years ago and there are parks like SFDL that haven't received a new coaster since 1999 (even if it was a brand new hyper).

They moved Quake out to the ride graveyard. It was sad. We all shed a tear. But next to Tornado, the sign still reads "The Quake." So sad. We lost Slingshot, too.

It's out behind the landing (employee lunchroom) and twisted sisters. Quake is the only ride back there I think, but they keep extra ride units back there (like from Blizzard River) and props from some sort of castle (I don't know what that's for though).

We had an operations party tonight, and some tech was overheard as saying that Quake would return--it was a gut feeling of his. That would be friggin' sweet.

i think they need to use some of that empty land behind chang and build a new section for the park and add a new coaster a floorless would be great but most likely wont happen.I guess we all wait and see if they do anything at all ...

The gates are never left open if the park is unattended. Usually if the gates in the back are open on closed day its because there are many employees in the park working on "behind the scenes" type stuff. Nice try!

That's actually a great topic to talk about, but most will take it the wrong way. I've often thought about how to get into parks for free when looking at satellite pictures. It would be a fun challenge. The thing is, you'd have to go alone, because I don't think someone is going to walk thru the employee area with their family. That's why I think parks don't worry about it too much.

A few years ago, I got to SFWoA early, walked over to Superman to take pictures, and a gate was open into the park because some people were doing landscaping. I thought, gee, it would be like mission impossible to hide somewhere until the park opens, but naw, not worth it.

Some parks would be harder than others, like CP would be almost impossible, because the employees go thru the entrance gates to enter the park.
