Sidewinder looks to be a Zamperla Discovery with outward facing seats.

Can't wait to return to Knoebel's next summer, even if there aren't any new coasters! It's still one of the best parks there are. Every Cedar Point fanboy should be required to go to this park.

Why? I can be slow, but I don't see why they should be.

^ To show them that a park doesn't need to be full of record breakign coasters to be awesome. Knoebel's is my second favorite park barely behind BGW. So they're getting a discovery and what else?

The Flying Tigers are the other ride, a kid/family ride. Dick Knoebel never forgets about the little ones, either.

Based on his speech balloon, I don't think that the chipmunk has made up his mind yet. He just says they'd be nice. He probably has to approve it with someone else. Until then, these are rumors.

Incorrect. Dick Knoebel said back in October that he was looking at 2 rides for 2005. He works very closely with Zamperla and probably got a good price for both rides.

^ Sarcasm missed in ^^ (e.g., The Chipmunk has to approve it...)

Knoebel's has some interesting and unique flats. Downdraft, Power Surge, etc, not the typical dime-a-dozen rides.

Personally, I think they should spend money to buy air fresheners for their bathrooms.

Yay a frisbee. That is always welcome at any park.

I love small parks with weird and awesome flats. Lake Winnie has a few that are fun.

I want to go to this park bad.

I thnk that Sidewinder is the name of the model. It is manufactured by Moser. This means there is one Zamperla, the Flying Tiger(which is like a suspended whip), and a Moser Sidewinder (which are like small frisbee's).

I cant seem to be able to find the ride on the Moser site...

It looks like a Mondial but the quility looks...bad. The capacity looks too sqiushed together and the ride looks kinda wide.

Frisbees look a bit boring to me, they should have got an afterburner if they couldn't afford a giant frisbee.

^ Well two park in the area (Dorney and Hershey) have Chance Revolutions which are basically park models of the Afterburner. So Knoebel's is putting out something different into the area.

The rides have names! The frisbee type thing will be called Fandango, and the Flying Tigers will be called guess what, The Flying Tigers! That first ones a pretty original name for a flat ride.

I thought that "Fandango" was just a made up word out of Queen-Bohemian Rhapsody...But I could be wrong.

Exclamation 3 is better than two

Hi all, I'm new to this site, but I been posting a lil on another coaster site, but I must say this site is much better. Anyhow, I been a ride supervisor at Knoebels for the past eight years and I have some news I would like to share about the park. First, ride employees got a return letter in Febuary and it stated the park would be adding three rides, not two. The letter stated, however, that the ride manager was not told what it was and that it was a "secret." Around the same time I actually talked to two maintenance people at the park and they didn't know what the third ride was either. I just took a small walk this past weekend, the 6th, and still have not seen any of the three rides, just regular maintenance. I will let yas know as soon as I hear anything else. Here are some pics. you guys can look at.
