Troika should be fine. They just moved it a couple years ago for TTD. Besides, the new ride can't be that close to DT if it is going to swing. Go look on http://www.pointpagecannotbedisplayed.net to see the artist's rendering.

Why is it that people always have to go to the "ohh....this park is ripping off another park!" whenever another ride is going to be installed? Get over it people. A ride of this type cannot be modified except for its colors.

So...basically...I guess that companies rip each other off all the time...when there is a proven formula that works, and that formula will make money....why not go with it?!?

Seriously people...get over it! In the BIG picture...every park rips off every other park. So...I guess the next thing is that someone will go back and see which park served the first hot dog, and try to find out who ripped them off when another park served a hot dog.

I'm happy now that the flat ride fans can rejoice.

I hope this version swings more times at full speed than the PKI version. It's like the ride gets up to full speed, you get a giant swing, then it slows down and it's over. The best part is when you're going upside down. I wrote CP a feedback letter asking them to make it 3 giant swings. I wonder if they have the option to reprogram how many giant swings it does at full speed.

I know that but no word has been mentioned on it and I just hope they don't take it out but if they do, then at least a better flat would replace it.

They said that with the addition of MaxAir, that they would have more rides than anybody else in the world. So I guess troika is staying.

they probably just forgot to put it on the concept drawing. maxair seems to be more towards rockets, then disastor. i wouldn't expect them to have to do anything with troika.

You should go to cedar point anyway! they have magnum, mf and ttd wicked twister, those right there are enough to rather go to cp then pcw! The huss ride is just another plus also.

I guess all the SFGAdv fanboys were waiting for CP to get something similar to another park so they could say we ripped them off after everyone realized that Kingda Ka doesn't have a very creative layout.

What they need to realize is, flat rides have to be similar to each other. They can't have special layouts designed to the parks needs like rocket coasters do. Huss rides are the hottest thing around right now, and just because a park wants one that another park has a few hours away doesn't mean their ripping them off cus they have the same damn ride. Flat rides have one footprint and layout unlike coasters. When it comes to Kingda Ka, it has a very similar layout to TTD minus the hill and that's why everyone said it was a ripoff. SFGAdv could have made a different and better layout but they added a hill to TTD's layout. But flat rides is a whole different subject. I mean, can you really say that tons of parks worldwide rippoff each other cus they all have Huss top spins or other flat rides. I think not.

Flat rides can never be a "ripoff" of other flat rides at other parks. Their design is simple, of course they will be similar. I don't get it why people would say that maXair is a ripoff of Delirium. Yes, they're similar but it's just a flat ride.

I'm happy that they're getting another flat ride for the park. It's such a dead area in the park and will look great over there and should bring more people to that section. Also, I bet the views will be great on the ride when you're up high, swinging. You should have a nice view of Lake Erie over the building of Disaster Transport.

I agree, they picked a great spot to put maXair...It definetly will liven up that area of the park, because it seems like all the big thrill rides in the park are in the area surrounding TTD, MF, and Power Tower. Theres only two major rides next to where the footprint will be and I agree this addition with add life to this part of the park, seeing how it was the most empty section when I went to the park in August.

In the future, I think CP should just take away all the rides from the kiddy's to make way for other Huss Giant rides like the Jump2. Naw, but I do think that some new rides could go back by Mean Streak and possibly somewhere else...But I think the park needs to leave some room for that secret ride thats going outdo TTD in 2007.

^That depends on your definition of "outdoing" TTD. I don't think they'll make it taller, not yet. But anyways, we'll just have to see. I've gotten used to waiting, and rumours aren't getting me excited like they used to. And please, a flat "ripoff?" That's crazy, then every park has ripped off every other park for decades with their flats. At least its good to know they're a community.
