HERCO, the company that owns HERSHEYPARK, has ordered all Turbulence promotional signs out of HERSHEYPARK, and all information regarding Turbulence, off of their various HERSHEY/HERSHEYPARK websites. Word is from several different and reliable sources that HERSHEYPARK has indeed CANCELLED their major 2005 attraction. HERCO is not giving any reasons for this decision, and is acting as though TURBULENCE never even existed. Local media in the Harrisburg, PA market are picking up on the story today and tomorrow. WHP-TV, the CBS affiliate in Harrisburg, PA, is running the story on Wednesday's evening news, per the News Director.

Wow, are you serious...That's a bummer, especially since they took out the ferris wheel for it. If indeed it's true, what the heck are they going to put in it's place. If they've even taken it out yet.

I think he's telling the truth. Everything was removed from their web site.

the intamin giant wheel was removed the first week in november. the local media is reporting that herco reps are not responding yet - but anticipate an official response tomorrow (WED).

Thats very odd. I wonder if something was wrong with the design of the coaster.

Ouch, that must hurt...Take out a very old ride that was part of the parks history for a new and more thrilling ride and the transaction falls through, that must suck. Obviously it had to be Hersheypark who backed out, because this is the only park that I've heard had ordered one of the frequent fallers and I'm sure interactive rides was ready for them to get one...

Is there possibly any room in Giant Wheel's place for possibly a Huss Giant Frisbee, Jump2 or any other good Huss ride?

Sources? Eh, don't get too excited. My guess is it's still coming; they're just promoting their Christmas events instead right now.

That could be but why wouldn't they promote both on the site. Why take all info off?

The local media in Harrisburg are reporting that the recent spikes in steel costs have impacted a hurting park --- but an official response is expected Wednesday as to why HERCO has made the decision to cancel plans with the coaster.

The plans for Founder's Circle are still on.....

Can't wait to hear this tomorrow. I'm curious as to why they canceled this coaster.
