| Cypress Gardens to Get Spinning Mouse in 05
I had a few minutes last night as I was leaving Cypress Gardens to speak with Mr Buescher. He confirmed that an announcement would be coming very soon about their new Spinning mouse coaster, he even talked about the theme. Imagine it's the 60's at the height of the UFO / Roswell / Little Green Men craze! You are driving along an old desert highway and you come upon a roadside UFO Gift shop stand thingy...you know what I mean! Sounds like it will be lot's of fun. He also confirmed that a new coaster will be added in 2006. He was not sure what type but he did mention two possibilities with one distinction. He said "I'm looking to add an inverted coaster" I asked if it was comparable to Hangman up at WA...."yeah, pretty much" is what he said. He also said, and this got my attention, "I also was looking at one of those flying coasters...not as big as Superman...but you know, the smaller one" I'm assuming a Volaire like Tomb Raider due to it's small footprint. No matter what it may be it will be a welcomed addition to this great little park!

I love how you get all this news all the time. That's awesome. Now you have to go get a scoop on IOA for 05. This sounds good, by I think the 06 idea will be moved to 07. Recovering the park must've cost a lot, so they wouldn't have too much money to get so many new rides. But, of course, Those are small rides. |

I've spent the last couple of years building relationships with a lot of different people. Talking with Mr Buescher last night was another great opportunity to further build that relationship not only for myself but the Florida Coaster Club. We have done events at WA and he along with the WA staff have always rolled out the red carpet for us. So he didn't mind sitting down for a bit and talking with me. I will try to get some more info on IOA, but the JP Jeep thing has not been ruled out, it has always been on the back burner.

Sounds great, I wonder if Maurer-Sohne, Zamperla or Gerstlauer. Kent seems to have some sort of connection with Zamperla, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's where they turn to.

Yes, there is some link between the two companies. I'm not exactly sure how at this point but what I do know is that Reverchon built Ragin Cajun at SFGAm and Zamperla atvertisewd it as their own on the back of the last few issues of Amusement Today. --Robb
