So which Up-charge attractions (those not on the wrist band) are still there? As I understand, one of the bunge towers is gone, but they still have a nother, a Skycoaster, and a Sling Shot right?

I believe they have 2 skycoasters a sling shot and a skyscraper.

ARM towers are cool. I went on the one at IAAPA and it was a very good drop..

The ride sounds AWSOME, fog,custom lighting and more effects. Cant wait to ride at night looking out over the ocean will be scary!

Morey's Piers announces new thrill ride for 2005 (FEB 8; 4:50 PM) Morey's Piers will debut AtomosFEAR, the tallest, fastest and most intense drop tower ride in New Jersey. Designed and manufactured by Larson Int. and ARM Inc., the ride can only be described as intense.

AtmosFEAR features a height of 140 feet and a freefall speed exceeding 45 mph - creating a vertical acceleration of three G's.

"I am excited for Morey's Piers and the installation of AtomsFEAR," said Jeff Novotny, president of Larson Int. "This tower ride is a proven crowd pleaser. The theming and special effects that Morey's has planned will enhance the rider experience and make for a truly awesome thrill. Larson Int. looks forward to the opening of AtmosFEAR."

Once on board, guests will experience a very slow ascent, accented by custom lighting and thunderous sound effects. As the vehicle climbs, fog fills the air and the ground suddenly seems farther away than expected. Without warning, the vehicle is released and literally forced downward by a special launch system. Within seconds, fail safe magnetic brakes bring the vehicle to a smooth stop.

The installation of AtmosFEAR will be completed in time for the start of the 2005 season.

Bell's Amusement Park in Tulsa OK just added a ride exactly like this one. Same model and everything. It opened for the Tulsa State Fair in September. They named it the Mind Melt and it is the first new ride since 97! I was extatic!! Then to top it all off, I got to be in the commercial for it!!! I got to ride it 13 times in a row, and baby it's sweet!!!!!! AWESOME drop! It feels much higher than it looks!

I saw something on the news today at a diner, I couldn't hear it, but I saw a clip of Great Nor' Easter valleyed, and another clip of people walking down the lift of Great White. Anyone know what happened?

Ummm...are you sure it was Morey's? The GNE, to my knowledge, has NEVER valleyed, and the White just opened this weekend.

Well I saw a Vekoma SLC valleyed in a spot an a wooden roller coaster. But you know, come to think of it, it was a Mind Eraser, because the supports were blue. Hmm, was there a power outage at SFNE or another park with a Mind Eraser?

it was SFAW.... They lost power 2 days ago... They had it on Fox news.. it showed a SLC (ST) stopped at the last set of blocks.. (not a valley) and then they showed people walking down TXCyclones lifthill.....

Oh ok thanks for clearing things up, anyways on some un official moreys piers site has the video of the new lighting system for the ferris wheel!

Just got back from my moreys piers trip, jeez they changed so much, sea serpent looked to be painted, doo whoper was moved and re paint, flitzer was moved, got new trains and painted black and was still under construction. I saw the first test run for there new screamin swing and got it on video, looks awsome! Atmosfear was the highlight of the trip, led lights going the whole way up the tower and the smoke and thunder effects were awsome. They also had a story line going up with speakers above your head going up about how this mad scientist creation goes wrong. Very intense drop Il give it a 9/10 in the flat ride rating.

Do you have any photos of the tower? I woud really like to see them. I hope to get to Moreys this summer but I dont think its going to happen...

Yes I do have pictures of the tower. I will post them up as soon as I get a chance. The thing looks kind of little from staring at it on the ground and while rideing it looked seriously around 250 ft high because the way it makes you look down over the ocean..man great ride.
