Hints of SFNE's new rides. Check this out!

As an employee of Six Flags New England, around this time, I recieve a newletter notify employees from last season to re-apply. The new letter was sent out around X-mas time. The newletter also has a little paragraph from each department (Foods, rides, games, etc.) I was reading over the paper yesterday and I noticied hints about the new rides coming in 2005. Here is what it said-- (the quotation marks were really in the newletter)

UNDER RIDES SECTION:
As we "sling shot" into the 2005 season....... the 2004 season comes to an end we can all stop running around like "wild mice".......we're gonna be putting a "new spin" on things.

UNDER HURRICANE HARBOR SECTION:
Get ready to "rocket" into the 2005 season.

<----I don't get this one. The new waterslide is a "typhoon" slide, not a "rocket" slide.

I just thought this was pretty cool. This newletter came out before the rides were even announed or approved!

It's going to be an Intamin and S&S creation: Spinning seats on a Space Shot tower. I don't know, sounds pretty cool, more like 2 different new rides in the park though.

Can I buy some pot from you?

It's probably gonna two rides and not that whacked-up hybrid you just came up with. My money's on a Zamperla Wild Mouse and an S&S Slingshot.

Typhoon seems to be the slides NAME so it could still be a 'rocket' slide / masterblaster type slide..

but we all know about the mouse slide and slongshot.. so you didnt hint anything

and the Sling Shot will be like the FunTime ride..(bungeeball)
not an S&S ride.... S&S doesnt make a "sling shot" they make Snow Shot Space Shot and Sky SLing......

The rides are already announced, the spinning coaster is a Gerstlauer. I don't know what company the slingshot will be made by but it is gonna be the same type of ride as the bungeeball. I know I didn't hint anything new I just thought it was cool how they put hints in the newsletter b4 any info came out.

FunTime makes most of the SlingShots at other SF parks and just at most parks overall.. so my guess it will be from them.

http://forums.sfne.com/index.php?showtopic=2988&hl=

Looks like one of SFA new rides might be what SFNE is getting a Proslide Water Slide since SFNE and SFA is announcing their plans on thursday. Hope their not clones if SFA is getting it. Guess we just have to wait until thursday.

Uh... a water ride is not a roller coaster.

Mr Six the ride. They will probably drop that part of the name in a couple of years when Mr. Six gets the axe.

yeah... My guess for that was 2007

"water coaster" is something most NE parks call waterslides.. Santas Village, SFNE, Six Gun City, Canobie.. all call waterslides "water coasters"

Mr. Six's Pandemonium??? I thought Six Flags sucked at naming rides...and now this. They're worse than Cedar Fair.

Ok, I'm wierd. I actually like the name for the spinning coaster. It fits. You look at the character and then look at the ride, and it works. Admitedly it's not the best, but it's a heck of a lot better than what they had been doing (e.g. scream, x, etc)

Same here. I love it. It fits perfect. Not to mention the logo is kickin'! Simple, yet not.

They can easily take his name off of it and just simply call it Pandemonium when they get a new advertisment campaign going.

The "Mr. Six" character is not a real old man. It is a young actor who is in costume.

But I agree....the name is lame. Cool coaster though!

Well, I think it is, IMO. It looks really good. But hey, that's a cheap way to make a video of it. A good way to save money!

Is this going to be like that Izzy Wild Mouse that was @ BGW with dropping the name in a few years? It's a creative name for now.

According to Lucky in SFNE.com, Mr. Six is a near clone of Timberland Twister and Spinning Dragons.

-Mr. Six's layout is exactly the same as Timberland Twister however Dragons is a bit different. And just like Timberland goes around the swings, Mr. Six will go around Timewarp (that seems like a problem cuz the Timewarp has a large swinging circumference)
-Originally SFNE realeased the coaster to be 42' tall but now they are say 5 stories which is at least 50 feet. (not complaining)
-TDMAMBA: Ur right, that looks exactly like No Limits whith the ground texture and the trees in the distance. The only thing is that No Limits STILL hasnt come out with that coaster type. Dont you wish you could get the program the company's use!!
-Me and my friend were discussing the the long, tongue-tying name, and we decided were gonna call in "panda" (short for pandemonium). We wanna see if we can get that going around. I hate the Mr. Six part, and pandemonium is to long so we shortened it.

We now have a place to put our bus!
