The first drop of the GCII coaster will be similar to that of Rye Playland's old Aeroplane coaster, once called the world's greatest coaster, even though it's top speed was only 40 mph. It was torn down in 1957 after it failed an inspection and after complaints that it was too intense. Here's a pic of the ride's layout, the first drop is a spiraling drop in the center of the photo:drop

dude thats an awsome lookin drop!

I am glad they decided to go with such a drop on a modern coaster. Thrillseekers today would love the intensity, it is 50 years later after all.

It looked as the forst spiralling drop was not banked, can you tell by loking at the pic if it is banked??

"too dangerous and terrifying". LOL!!!

Man they were so rediculous in the 50's about everything from Elvis to Roller Coasters.

Don't ride that ride, it will make you worship the devil!

How do you know that it'll be like that.

It reminds me of kind of an extreme turnaround like on TT.

Good news for a small park. A spinning mouse is okay, but a major GCI is awesome. A small family owned park beating out a Six Flags park. 10 years ago that would've been deemed impossible.
