Yep...I've been there and I can say that all the changes are VERY welcome! The exteriors of the waterpark have received a nicely-themed Carribean-flavored touch and the new Bahama Blast and Tornado slides are just as you would think they'd be...very exciting. Even the wave pool had a nice update...the addition of a backdrop and new name "Hurricane Bay."

As far as everything else...it's just been repainted. I'd hardly call it "one of the best waterparks in the country" as SFA's radio spots say...but it's certainly enough fun to hold its own ground. I would have just hoped for a complete redux. The really old rainbow slides are still there...and still look the same, as does the "Paradise Lagoon" section. That part didn't even receive a repaint.

The main problem is that the waterpark was put together piece-meal during it's Wild World/Adventure World days and I fear that it will always suffer from that unless they were to completely demolish and rebuild...at which point you know that it would no longer be a "free with admission" waterpark.

I don't know if it would no longer be free with admission, afterall, they just finished building SFGam as a completely new price included in admission water park. Also GL's will be included with admission I believe. If they completely rebuilt the waterpark and started charging admission, I wouldn't complain.

Andrew W took several pictures of the waterpark and they can be seen here. I'll have a set of pictures by the end of the weekend.

Great pics, the park looks a little small.

Wow, them slides look very exciting! The only one I'd see myself being thrilled on is the Tornado.

You know... I was nice enough to post a link to some pictures and the thanks I get is three rude comments? Why do I bother?

If you knew anything about the old waterpark and it's appearance vs. the new waterpark you would clearly see the difference, not to mention, their not even done! Those pictures were taken Memorial Day weekend. Since then, they have continued working on the water park after hours.

If you want to see a current set of pictures, check these out. Included in this batch is a set of pictures of the old water park so you can compare to the new water park.

Okay. Thanks dude for the very good pictures.

It's awesome to hear that they are still working on the waterpark. :-D

It also looks like they have rip off the ugly green pavement. :-D It looks very ugly before with the green pavement, so that good that they have got rip off it. But if it was up to me, i would have repaved the hole waterpark. But it's okay now...
