Wild Adventures 2005

I went to Wild Adventures yesterday and to my surprise they were putting up two screamin' swing towers! I allready knew they were doing it but I didn't realise how fast they could put them up. They put both of them up in like 1 day! It looks awsome I can't wait until it opens. O yeah it is called the Gaunlet.

Yuo should've taken some pictures. That's pretty cool, it looks like these are the new Pay Per Rides for now. I think it's not worth the money though.......

I don't think the swings well make you pay money to ride them. Do the ones at KBF make you? And how many screamin swings are there?

Um its in Valdosta,Ga down I-75 and I think it is exit 13 and you go right and it is excatcly 4 miles down the road. Don't worry you will now when you get there because there is a huge flag at the entrance.

I think he ment where in the park will the new ride be relocated?

I don't exactly understand. Are they getting two of them, or did they just put both of the arms up for the one ride?

If it's more of a larger capacity kind then I don't think it will be a pay per ride, but if it's less like the one at Knott's, then probably.

All my family live down in southeast Georgia close to Brunswick, Jesup, Screven. Wild Adventures is "the thing to do" down there, cuz it's the ONLY thing to do! I've never been.

I know one thing. They own the most advertisements on I-75 for MILES away from the park. I remember that from my trip down to Orlando a few weeks ago. I was like, "Holy Crap, they really want you to go to their park, huh?" Actually, if I had time I would have. Looks like a great up-and-coming park!

The Cheetah is excruciatingly rough. I've heard that numerous times by non-enthusiasts, so it must be pretty bad. LOL.

^ Yea! My and my friends try to count them when we go... but we always loose track... Any way If you want to know where it is located in the park it is in Treasure Cove where the bumper boats used to be. I may got to Wild Adventures this weekend and if it is open I will give you a full report.

Wow, they got two seperate rides! That's great. This'll sure be a good advertisment for the park. The billboards are crazy! And a lot are re-peats too.

Anywho, I'll have to get down to this park this year to ride this and all it's other rides!

Seems to be a popular ride these days.
Wild Adventures advertises heavy in the north Florida area. I was in Ocala last week and there were radio and billboard ads all over the place.

WAY off topic, but back to the billboards . . . I drive to Macon every Wednesday for a college class at Mercer Univ, and not far past the Jackson/Griffin exit is a Wild Adventures billboard! Well, maybe it was a little closer to Forsyth, but anyways. Funny that I've been driving that way forever and just noticed it after discussing it here. LOL.

This is going to be great. It went up super fast, and it's going to open really soon, and it's going to be a free ride. I know it'll be popular. There is nothing else to do around there big like this park...

O.K. Now since my last attempts to go to Wild Adventures I will finnaly be able to go there. I will give a full report aboyt it. But does the ride start off like a swinging ship or does it blast you off like really fast (which would be awsome!)?

Anyone made any trips to Wild Adventures since the opening of The Gauntlet? Haven't heard any reports yet. I'm going to try to make a trip up there sometime this month or next month.

Does anybody know how a screamin' swing works? Like how it starts. Does it start to swing like a swinging ship? Or does it blast off?

I have Finally got the answer! Haha! I went to Wild Adventures Saturday and luckly one of the towers were open! (I'm not exactly sure if it was the first day the ride had ever operated with people on. If so I was on the 3rd ride) The sortof swings like a swinging ship but is much more powerful. it only takes 3 or 4 swings to get up to full swing and when you do..... the ride is so AWSOME! Even though the ride is short it packs a punch! Lol. The best way to ride it (or so I think) is with your hands up and legs out lol. It gets intense the first time you ride it. Well I loved it and it is free. You have to go down there and ride it lol. I had a great time on it.
