If they advertise this heavily (and they have great material ) then it will get big crowds, and then they should run 2 trains. But if they want to do one train, then that's just too bad.

I'll say this one more time for those of you who still seem to be a little dense. Mt. Olympus only draws a limited crowd, there really is no need for more than one train. The Dells only attracts so many people, and a lot of them are on limited budgets and can't afford Mt. Olympus and many of those that go don't even ride the coasters. They are there for the go-karts.

So why build such a awsome coaster at such a crappy park when no one will ride the coaster?

I know Tsunami is not at Mt. Olympus. But it is a similar coaster and runs two/tree trains so I was wondering if it had to do with the park or the coaster.

I think if this gets good publicity then this park might be in for a surprise. This looks like a coaster that I would travel to ride so I am sure many others will do the same.

The park already has two awesome wooden coasters and no one really seems to care about it. They want to keep people coming back and hopefully turn the park into more of a real "theme park."

How much does it run tio get in this park. Just wondering since the locals can't afford to go, and do they have season passes?

Hopefully this coaster will bring some major busniess to the park, It sounds like they might need it.

There really isn't much of a local population. The Dells basically depend on people from Milwaukee and Chicago to bring the money, and to a lesser extent those from Madison.

Oh ok, I never knew that. What a weird place to put an amusement park. If it works then good.

The Wisconsin Dells is basically a tourist trap type of town. Think of Gaitlinburg/Pigeon Forge TN, only a little less tacky and bigger. Mt. Olympus has to compete with giant indoor waterparks at most of the large hotels, the biggest outdoor waterpark in the US, and a bunch of other amusement places.

I have a question i have been meaning to ask for a while but kept forgetting. Why did they use steel supports on Hades?

I know it's cheaper to maintain and all but i hate it when wooden coasters have steel supports. It makes wooden coasters look cheap and tacky. Just my opinion.

Its solely for the price tag. They've used it on their other coasters as well. The look isn't really as important when you can create a kickass ride for cheap.

True. I guess i was just wondering if the steel supports effect the ride in a different way that wood.

Thats what I was saying on some other sites... I dont like the "steel wood coaster" look. I think great white is the only one that looks good with it.
