I'm curious to see what they are doing with the Shark Attack slide complex...It wasn't confirmed on the the park rendering, but it's a fairly new slide complex just like Thunder Falls so I don't understand why they'd get rid of it. It'll probably go in the Phase II section somewhere, I don't think Geauga Lake would just get rid of it when its another slide complex to bring guests to. BTW, heres a look into our futere: http://www.geaugaguide.com/album/alb...8-2005-067.jpg (Phase II) Last edited by Dan G; 06-20-2005 at 04:40 AM. |

| http://www.geaugaguide.com/extras/wwkrender.jpg (Park Rendering) http://photobucket.com/albums/a312/E...ent=phase2.jpg (Pic of how the park currently looks w/o stadiums) By the looks of it, It seems like the park is keeping the two buildings you see when you first walk into the area. Wasn't that one building with the long legs the Stingray petting area? I'm still excited to see what the park is getting in the area of slides. The park will be a good place to go next year. |

| http://wwk.geaugalake.com/public/new.cfm Well, Geauga Lake made an official announcement and it looks like they are not coming through on all the promises they made last year. Phase 2 no longer includes a swim up adult bar, or a "multitude" of slides, no slides for that matter, but the biggest trip of them all is that they raise season tickets prices. Now, last time I checked, a park usually raises these prices when they are opening up a BIG attraction, but so far all that has been announced for WWK Phase 2 is a wavepool. I just find it awfully funny that they are raising these prices when they aren't even fulfilling the promises they made last year. But, from what I have heard most of the newer parks to the CF chain have all witnessed this same thing so I guess it's nothing new for CF. Here's what the park was SUPPOSED to look like based on the rendering the park gave us last year: If you look above at the two pictures I posted above, that side of the waterpark is going to look awfully empty with just a wave pool in it, it's just hard to believe that they aren't including any slides at all. Hopefully they'll move the shark attack slides over so at least there is something else to do as well. |
