With Rockin Rider now gone from Canobie the park has added a Zamp Skater ride. Its not open yet but its all set up. The ride was said to be opened for this weekend (4th of july)...yeah...

Could the ride just be temp?

Boooo, I wanted a different ride in place. Maybe a roller coaster. lol. The ride looks fun for only the few few seconds, then it must be boring.

Well... Once more im off to Canobie.. Lets see if I can get some testing photos or maybe the ride will be open now.

So is this kind of like a cross between a Rockin Tug and a Disko?

If so, it would not be boring. I loved both rides.

Intimidator Coming in 2010 to Carowinds!

Im thinking it is just a rethemed Rockin Tug, kinda like Knotts got. Or by the looks of it, it might be a Disko cus it seems like it's a decent size.

I haven't been on either so I wouldn't know what the ride is like.

Its a disko with bigger tug car on it. Its made to look like a skateboard and is only for this summer.

We don't know that for a fact yet, do we? It has been reported that the park is leasing the ride and has the option to purchase it at the end of the season and make it a permanent addition to the park. I hope they do as it is a great, midly thrilling family ride that would be perfect for Canobie.

It is a fact that it is rented as of now. In the fall the park can send it back or buy it.

The Rockin Rider was sold yes. And then they got skater rented from Zamp. But they dont own the Skater.

Besides the corny paintings of skaters on the side, the ride looks pretty cool.

I found it better then the Disko.. But still lacks something.

The skateboard part of the ride spins around, and while doing that, it goes back and forth along the track, kinda like a tamer Pharaoh's Fury.

The ride's pretty fun, but its forces are kinda lacking, so the ride does feel kinda boring in that respect, however, thw whipping motion of the ride combined with the comfortable lapbars make it a pretty OK ride. I rode the Skater at the I-X Center earlier this year, and it was a big hit.
