just got back from training...

Man i am so sick of riding the Jack Rabbit lol, while others were learning 2 train operation, the rest of us just rode it. We was on for like an hour and a 1/2 straight. It was fun but we all looked like we were gonna fall asleep on it lol. We was all layin our heads down, but on the bumpy parts it was kinda hard to sleep, and on the double dip lol. When we finally got off it,we felt like we couldn't walk straight lol. Friday is the first day, i can't wait. so anyone else ever ride a coaster or any ride for like an hour or more straight?

lol it gets old after a while. We had to make it fun. We kept seeing how high we would fly out the seat. The pink train is the best. My whole body flew up in the air, feet and all. i was probably like a good 2 to 3 inches off the seat on the double dip. It was crazy lol.

Not for any training or such, but I have signed up for travel channel/discovery channel shoots at CP before.

I've done 3 Dragster shoots, the best shoot offering 10 rides (5 rollbacks )

Also a Wicked Twister shoot, in which we got 9 rides in. Wicked Twister starts to get painful after a few times.

I think its a blast. I'd gladly ride any ride at an amusement park over and over again. The guest pay lots of money to get to come into our parks and ride our rides, meanwhile we get paid to ride them!

I love my job

I would love to be able to do that. I don't think it would get old for me though because I could spend all day on a coaster.

around 10 years ago, through a strange twist of fate, i was an extra in some british television puppet show where one of the characters rode the PMBO. we were sitting in the last seat of the first car, and got to ride around 13 or 14 times over the course of an hour or so. the strange thing was, they wouldn't let us get out, even if we were stopped in the station for a few minutes. after about the tenth ride, i had to pee sooooo bad, as did the guy i was with, and the couple in front of us. we laughed about it for a few rides, until we finally had to beg the production assistant to let us off. it was a cold day, and i think they had given us warm tee or something, and the PMBO is not exactly a smooth ride. anyways. one of the ride crew took us to the small toilet in the basement of the station. out of courtesy, we let the girl go first, but all three of us guys where literally dancing around with watering eyes. by the time she was done, none of us could wait anymore and we ended up "playing ghostbusters" and all peeing at the same time into the single toilet. it was pretty funny.

Nice avatar phantompenguin . Where did you get it from? http://modestmouse.com/cart/cart.php...&category_id=2
I found where you got it from. Did you go to the concert In Santa Cruz?

My cousin was one of the teasters for Tornado at SFFT. She was a lifeguard last year and she was asked to ride it 50 times in a row with some other people. She got paid for it aswell.

I wish. I'm probably going to see them in Philly in June though.

To keep this on topic...I was growing quite sick of the Lil' Phantom until we started to fill the seats. You're only supposed to have one adult per seat...so naturally we started to put two ops together. We were making that baby fly...at five feet above the ground

I wish I could see them some time soon. I checked their tour dates and I don't see any here that are close. They hit Dallas and Houston like a few months back. To far to travel. Maybe If they go to Austin City Limits or what ever they big music festival is, I might go see them.

I don't know what to say to keep this on topic. lol.

Why did yall only have to put 1 adult per seat? Then why did yall put two ops together? I bet that puppy was going pretty fast 5 feet up in the air. I people felt they where like superman...

cause in kiddieland, you have to be a KID to ride. 2 adults can't sit todether, they have to each have a kid with them if they want to ride. Cause if you let anyone ride, you'll have a bunch of teenagers thinkin they are cool and wantin to ride the lil phantom. We get that all the time. You must have a kid with you if you want to ride in kiddieland. And if both parents want to ride, then they must each have a kid with them. And remember it was just training so ride ops can ride if they wanted too.

Alot has changed this year though. Along with almost all the names being changed almost every height restriction was altered too. A few rides got rid of the maximum heigh restriction too, the Lil' Phantom being one of those. But we're still supposed to limit the amount of adults on the ride.

see we don't have to be certified or anything, we just learn the ride and run it. The only ride i heard we had to be certified for was the sky coaster. I think they gotta pass a test to do it. And plus we have to break the coasters in since they been sittin all winter and they need weight in them to do that, so we had to ride them.

Hehe, always fun to read stuff like this.

I'll find out what I'm in for when I start my training in 2 weeks. But I'm doing a ride that's open year round, and isn't a coaster. So should be interesting to see what they'll have me doing over at Rhino Rally.

I can't wait to start my training. My supervisor told me he would be starting one day this week. He said as long as NJ came out and inspected the rides, we would be able to ride while training. I'm so excited

We have been doing training for a couple weeks now. The highlight of it was on saturday, when I rode the rides. (especially being the first rider of the year on the green dominator tower, riding thunderhawk without the trims and being the only rider on the entire talon train)
